This week i'm looking at some 3 in 1 chopsticks - 'the mantis'.... i've had these for a long time and they are supposed to perform the job of chopsticks, a spoon and also a fork (or maybe we will call pinch mode, tonsil mode?!)...so I make a quick Ramen and put it to the test! Phoebe is a good infomercial actress, but I was hoping for a bit more fumbling and throwing around things with reckless abandon as if she were the clumsiest person on earth 😂

I checked my owner's manual and it seems teens are instantly cool. Hence the edgy tone of black and white, with surrealist dialog. For this, she's ordering sets for fossilized parents out of Willy Wonka. They were going to starve if she hadn't placed the order in the next 15 minutes!

It's pretty tough going isn't it. I struggled a bit last week to be honest :/ first time i've ever felt like that. Just gotta try and keep positive and busy :)

Brilliant, Barry. Good gadget. I once worked for a shipping company, where, a couple of times a month, the boss would treat the staff to a Chinese take away from a superb local Chinese restaurant. However, there was one, tiny, yet important rule: you had to eat with chopsticks. My boss had spent a lot of time in Hong Kong, and used them all the time. No stick skills: no takeaway, simple as that. I learned damn quick, as you might guess.

You need to do the intro bit like a proper infomercial where using a traditional set of chopsticks results in you dropping the bowl, food everywhere, 12th degree burns, the house catches fire etc

Hilarious! Keep the infomercial stuff going! You should spoof specific famous infomercial clips, etc. The best part of TV history to have fun with on you tube! Keep it keep it keep it! Love seeing the kids in more stuff. I would definitely be having my kids help if I had a channel. Love what you do always

Tonsils might be a bad translation of utensil ... maybe! 😁 I have a super shiny enamel like set of chop sticks and they are so slippy that I can't pick anything up with them. That might have been why you were making such a mess with them! I think I still prefer my takeaway wood snap apart (and rub them together so you don't get splinters) chop sticks and a spoon! 🍜🥄🥢😊

Lol. It means uou can cook with them also. Watch some Asian videos. The cook meat and veg with chopsticks. Stir, flip, remove stuff from the pan. And eat with them. Sure cuts down on utensils. 😉💜

"pinch mode" is basically training chopsticks, lol... Also, I feel like it was originally a chopstick/spoon item, but someone said "I guess you could also use it like this maybe?" and then someone says "isn't that just chopsticks with a bit at the end?" then that guy is thrown out the window.

Unhook a clothes pin and use the metal clip. Put the clip on the chopsticks. Works great and cheap too.

My totally unscientific explanation to the spoon holding soup is MAGIC PIXIE DUST. Well, that or the viscosity of the liquid with the starches and stuff introduced to it holds the water molecules enough to stop it all going through at once.

I understand individual videos for gadgets like an air frier or something but items like this don't really need that time. Same with the popcorn maker and the Brussels sprouts gadget from when you started doing solos a few years ago. I don't see how one gadget of the week 4-5 times a month goes through more gadgets than one video featuring 4-5 of them. It's mostly just you making more content out of it which is fine but just admit that

You use the "spoon" to pick up things that are hard to pick up with chopsticks. If you want to sip the broth, you sip it straight from the bowl, it's kinda customary in Japan.

Literally could create a “Mantis” Twice as good with rubber indent where spoon connects and add tons of others stuff to make it not spill and be multiple utensils like for even salads and stuff . So maybe that’s what I should invent if someone hasn’t , ha I bet there’s plenty .
