Instructions Unclear: Leg shaved off.

For anyone who wants this, I reccomend just using it for any spots you missed after shaving. It's really not practical to use for your entire legs

The dermatologist I work with hates these because it apparently is very abrasive and damages the skin more than helps with both exfoliation and hair removal.

For delicate skin, this device can cause you to bleed. It literally looked like I was sweating blood. Definitely use lotion with this device, and don't go iverboard with it!

Glad she included the irritation part. On the box it said it could be used on arms too so I did, and god was it a bad idea. My strawberry skin only got worse and my arms were BURNING, I couldn't even wear anything long sleeved for a few days because my arms were sooo sensitive to the touch, even a feather would hurt. So I would recommend only use it on your legs as an exfoliator really, nowhere else.

I bought a super cheap one off of teemu, after you take a shower I'll use it to shave my legs. As long as you're not scrubbing one place until it bleeds you should be fine. I recommend it to all my friends who have strawberry legs. Don't forget to lotion afterwards! My husband always comments how smooth my skin is afterwards 😊

I have one of these and I agree that it’s not a go to shave, but scrubbing definitely increases the pain. Instead, test it out on your skin by starting lightly and gradually adding more pressure, so you can see how much you need to press to get hair out. Also remember to press in a circular motion :)

I used something similar to this many years ago, when I wanted to start shaving my legs due to peer pressure, but my mother was convinced that I was too young and clumsy to use a razor. Boy did I buy myself a razor quickly. This thing was expensive, stopped working super quickly and left my skin feeling like I flayed myself. Don't know if there has been any improvement in the design since then but from what your experience sounds like it probably hasn't

I tried this product to avoid shaving and it was MISERABLE Left me covered in what were essentially burns. Not only was it extremely painful, but I genuinely looked diseased at the pool the next day 💀

Pulling hairs causing open hair follicles for infection and ingrown hairs to develop. My leggins do the same thing without effort from me.

I got one for Christmas and I love it😭

When I was a younger teen and scared of shaving this product first came out and it saved my life and I’ve slowly moved up to a real razor but it really works

Ah yes, the cheese grater strategy.

My mother used similar products to this that are basically just sandpaper. My mother was over 50 and only had very few long stringy hairs on her legs. I’m talking like 5 hairs tops. (Probably due to a thyroid issue.) She’d use these sandpaper things and it would basically rub the skin until the hair pulled off. But as a tween when I used it with thin soft leg hair all over my calf, it just irritated my skin with the friction and didn’t get rid of any hair. I absolutely hate the concept of these because you’d be better off shaving or epilating the hair so you don’t destroy your skin with such an abrasive physical exfoliant. I think the only way to use this might be with some thick prickly stubble a day or two after shaving. And only if you have skin that can handle that.

Ugh, I got this product without doing extra research/looking at reviews outside their website; it was a huge regret purchase. No matter how I tried to prep my skin, it always became irritated. Definitely lessons learned here.

Actually that's not skin dust. That's powdered glass because the so called hair eraser is just glass and it might cause bleeding for sensitive skin because the glass is turning into powder and is being rubbed on the skin so definitely not recommend. (I'm speaking from experience BTW)

I have one and it only works on plain surfaces like the front of the leg (below the knee), it's really difficult to handle it for other obscure parts like the ankle or the back of the knee (it's hard to scrub those parts)

I have this, it doesnt leave any cuts or spots, but the next day there are little hairs that you cant see but it feels spiky when with shaver its smooth

I've used these before and yes if you are not careful, you will absolutely end up with rough irritated skin. She is spot on about it being an exfoliate not a shaving replacement as it seemed to be advertised as. It does leave my skin feeling nice and soft though. Avoid using it daily, and rather use it maybe every two days.
