This journey has truly inspired me, you said at the start you started running. Because you were out of shape and no direction, im relate so much. Your such an inspiration i started at 19 stone episode one and able to walk 2k without stopping, im now down ro 15.5 stone and able to run a moderate pase 10k no stopping. Keep it geez, your changing so many peoples lives not just in africa

Yep! I just started rewatching from the start of the mission about a week or two ago and watching them concurrently with the new releases. I just got to the point where Guus joined in Brazzaville. The growth in operation and experience is astounding.

Looking at aerial photos, this is going to get interesting. I see the road they want to take once IN Algeria, but the route to get there seems to exist only on paper. It's a dusty two track at best, and disappears entirely for dozens of miles at a time. And obviously there's no infrastructure whatsoever.

Been following you with every episode. I am 3.27 minutes in this episode and had to stop to say, Russ you say if the plea to the government failed so would you?!? Hey. I've been following since day one and love it all. My dad was a marathon runnner.. just the one at a time type though!! He did join the 100 club though, the list of poeple that have run a 100 marathons... Check him out Derek Appleton. He also did numerous other races. After his 100 marathons he moved to ultra distances and as well as doing lands end JoG, he did london brighton and several 24 hours or 100 miles races ( representing GB in his age group). Not only that he did a 500 miles charity walk around the south east visting every heart foundation charity shop in the area plus so much more. Its such a joy to see you doing your mission. My dads are all in my past and Id love to be able to have appreciated what he was doing then like I do now and like I appreaciate you for doing this. If i could come to africa for the end.. for sure I would.. love you and the crew...thank you for doing this

Be extremely careful with flying a drone in Algeria and Tunisia. It's mostly illegal in both countries without a special permit and it usually takes forever to get those. In Tunisia it's even possible they'd confiscate your drone on the border. Make sure to get any needed permits in advance.
