The gain of this journey is the person who you have become. That is why people like to watch your videos as it might bring light to their own experience. That is gaining wisdom, in my opinion the most valuable of humans inner development.

Omgg I have a looot to say on this topic! Because i quit social media per se 3 weeks ago, and I've been experiencing similar things. I had a period in my life, up until 2019, where I was treating IG as my career as well and I was so miserable! I'd spent entire weekends at home doing photoshoots, planning blog posts... no social life whatsoever. Spending money I didn't have on definitely NOT practical clothe... would only buy "cool" things for the shoots, wear stuff like... tight tops on top of white collar shirts cause it looks apparently cool, even though in real life I did not look like that! And at some point I started comparing my unedited self with that person I'd built! To this day, I still have trouble with that fantasy self that is super dangerous, cause this was a person that I actually built out of my own self, not just someone I was looking up to. It's so crazy to think that. I am still struggling with the aftermath of all these years on social media, the validation and basically creating my identity around what these platforms want from me. I am still feeling very insecure - in fact I have a video on my channel talking about my decision to leave social media, and I kind of judge myself for the way I look, even though I intentinally filmed that video raw, without any edition, any make-up or hairdo whatsoever lol. But I know I will slowly get there. I'm at a point in which I crave the community the most. Like you said, the ones who follow you and watch you here like you for your brain and how through-provoking your message is :)

Hey there my handsome and pretty little cobras! I filmed this back in 2022 but it wasn't until now that i felt ready to talk about this! I have not had the healthiest relationship with ig. I obsessed over it and that is not the case anymore. Growing my youtube channel also helped me with my self esteem, like, I didn't ig to validate me.
