"it's hygiene" ...it's me finally having several gym & running outfits. we have both lived the "struggle minimalism" & are coming into the "abundance minimalism" -an oxymoron that doesn't make sense until you're living it. poshmark: it makes it so easy to ship out items. i don't use it to make money, i sell the things really cheap to get rid of them. i like "unbuying" my items, knowing someone will use it! sometimes donation centers receive so much that things end up in the trash anyway.

Ahh I feel so affirmed! I noticed my eating habits have naturally gravitated towards the same ones you mentioned and indeed there is a night and day difference in the physical and mental energy and clarity I thought I’d lost to youth. The change started once I realized I needed to listen to what my body (intuitive eating) was constantly trying to communicate with me. Hey there my handsome and pretty little Cobras! Welcome back to the Cobra's nest, and we are in for a vlog!! Will and I headed to Paris for 2 days, and we had SOO much fun! I filmed my entire trip, I wasn't lazy about it, because I wanted to film this for myself, for my own memories. I’m a 2001 Gen z, but I’m less active online, so I don’t really follow any trends you see on there, but I do find myself a bit in the middle when it comes to minimalism- I like sustainability and I’m not a fan of pointless excess (especially since my mom, a gen x, is the kind of person who buys stuff all the time just because), but I also don’t like when things are pointlessly bare. I like color and having decorations (because I think I’d honestly go mad if I only had white, gray, and beige to stare at), but I get overwhelmed if everything was a neon rainbow everywhere. Something stimulating, but not too stimulating. Plus color has been proven to impact mood, and I’ve had mental health struggles on the past (a bit currently too), so some bright colors in the mix really help I prove my mood :)

Such an interesting video Nathalie! I see a lot of this in the relationship dynamic of my parents. My mom has always been a stay at home mom, and when my dad moved out it was financially horrible for her. She had to go back to the only job she could get with her big gap, which was cleaning houses. She was SO tired of that job afterwards, she was basically doing for someone else the same chores she did at home because no one would help her (I was young, stupid and wouldn't help lol). My dad moved back in a couple years ago and financially they're doing better. Don't get me wrong, he's a nice dude! It's just a matter of how incompatible they are. My mom has said time and time again that she regrets not having her own money, not having a career or a profession, and how much she regrets it cause she feels like he (my dad) questions all her purchase decisions because she overspends on clothes (a whole different story XD but she should be able to spend her money on whatever she chooses).

As a stay at home mother/wife I think its each individuals choice what they do, the point of feminism is that we have the choice now and are not being forced to be one or the other.

I am a stay at home mother who has been married to my husband for six years. To us marriage was a means for us to build a family together. We didn't get married to be happy or to have a lot of romance. Maybe because we thought so hard about the utility of marriage we managed to build a lovely little family together. I think a big part of that is because we didn't "try each other out" by living together before we were engaged. (We lived together for a month before marriage) We jumped in together feet first and dealt with the awkwardness of learning to share our space without a fallback. Also I disagree with working when I have small children. I am not going to work until my children are in school. Once they are in school I will resume working. I am not worried about the gap in my resume, giving my children a safe and stable childhood is worth the risk.

I would like someone who is actually married to comment on this lol I feel like I only see younger single or in a relationship but not married women talking about this issue like it has anything to do with them or they have the experience when they don’t. Marriage is *supposed* to be about entering a binding contract between 2 people who love and want to support each other and you should trust your spouse over your blood-related family when it comes down to it. I understand divorce exists but when you enter into a marriage the intention is supposed to be that you are together forever through thick and thin and I’m sorry but why would you EVER marry someone who you think one day might leave you or you think you need to hide away your own money *just in case*. That’s not a real marriage. I love and trust my husband and I’m about to quit my job to be a stay at home mom to our first daughter and not once have I thought that I need to stash away my own separate money because I know the man I married and we both made a mutual commitment to each other and our family. Don’t marry someone who you think you can’t 100% trust and I get that some people will say that they did feel that way first about their spouse and then things changed but when you find someone who takes the promise of marriage actually seriously and you are bound by something bigger than yourselves there’s no reason to be worried that one day they might abandon you. I also think women who are afraid to “ask their man for money” are in an abusive relationship bc every conversation about money should be mutual and not “oh can I please have money?” Like that’s not a mutual partnership of respect. You can be a SAH wife/mom who takes on more traditional roles but is still treated like an adult by your spouse.

its 2024. Stay at home wife/gf is no no in this time. Girl wanna do work or whatever she want will it be. Trad wives are out too.

I really fucking hate minimalism, no offense, but especially after seeing millennials gut ornamental houses and install these hideous beige and white houses that lack any and all character or charm and are so pricey that it actively prevents me from ever being able to buy a house just because some rich millennial FUCKS decided to fuck over the housing market by flipping all the affordable houses for profit! Makes me want to jump off a cliff because I keep seeing millennials say, “the boomers fucked is over” “the boomers ruined the economy and climate” and then I see these same millennials ruin the housing market and actively make things worse for the next generation.
