WHO AM I?
My name is Mignon Cobra and I make minimalist videos. I used to be a shopalic and waste ALL my money on just buying more things, because I wasn't living a fulfilling life. I was unhappy and broke.
Now I help my COBRA BABIES stop being so materialistic, buy less but buy better and have a healthier relationship with themselves and money. If that sounds good to you, come along for the ride!
Let's get it, let's go!

This video really resonated with me. I am 26M , and over the past year really solidified my choice to be childfree. My main reasons are exactly the same as you- i want to fully live for myself and focus on ME. I still haven't really told anybody how i feel since I'm worried about being judged. But I feel such a sense of relief having embraced life the way i want to- i am not worried about the future or anything, all that really matters is me. It's such pure bliss and stress free. It is a sense of clarity as you said. Selfish? Maybe, but i honestly don't care. I don't think it's super common but there are definitely people out there who feel the same!

I used to say I am happy childfree as my partner of 13 years didn’t want children. 2 years ago something ‘clicked’ and I had sudden strong desire to have a baby. Got pregnant within 3 weeks of making the decision, we are now parents to a beautiful happy 11 month old baby boy and we regret not having baby earlier 😂 So I absolutely love being a mother to my boy, he brings so much joy. My partner is quite grumpy and moody but since having our son he smiles every day ☺️ Good for you for making a choice that works for you…no one’s business anyway! 😉

Hey there my handsome and pretty little cobras! I wanted to share something a bit more personal. I am child free by choice. I made this decision about 4 years ago but it isn't until recently I have felt more comfortable to share this with my cobrababies. I just wanted to share my perspective with my cobrababies in case this can help comfort anyone who might be on the fence and wanted to hear my perspective. I am not ashamed of my life choice, it's my life at the end of the day and I am finally strong enough to share. Comment down below what's your take on having children!

I am Childfree myself. I decide at the age of 25. That being parent is not for me. 1 . I don't want the responsibility of raising another human being.2 . it's alot physical emotional and mental and 3. This planet absolutely sucks people are shallow petty and just in gerneral not good company Earth is Ghetto. 4 . It's massive financial to keep up with for the next 18 years. It's for me polite No Thank you for me.

There's so many aspects to it, especially since people are different. But I can definitely relate to the "not enjoying my youth" thing. I was not a happy child and teenager. I've slowly started to get better in my twenties, still working on it in my 30s. I don't know if I can now put someone else before me all the time when I've finally made a life for myself that I can enjoy.

Childfree by choice as well. It's Buddha who said life is suffering. But I didn't find much in his teachings how to alleviate this suffering actually. More than in other philosophies/religions, anyways. As a philosophy graduate, I had no doubts since I was a teen. About the need to be childfree. And quickly understood that religion could only be a means to make life more bearable. Years of familial trauma, but I wouldn't have had a child without it either. Nature punishes us women for not having children in an extremely cruel way. But one only discovers it in later years of life. You cannot kill maternal instinct, I'm afraid. My Kitty has turned 13 yrs old and is the Love of my life. And I face the prospect of life without her every single day. And I cannot stand this prospect. Cause she has become more than a daughter to me. There is this saying by Herman Hesse: "Oh, love isn't there to make us happy. I believe it exists to show us how much we can endure."

I also didn't enjoy my youth! I have never had any strong desire to have a child, and when I was a child I imagined only having one through adoption. I'm 31. I will have a child if it becomes something that we think will add value to my husband and my life, and husband will need to very on board, I think we would enjoy raising a family together in certain circumstances. But it is not a default plan for me to have a kid.

Just finished my therapy session an hour ago! I don't care if "the algorithm" was listening at this point 😅 it's a good suggestion cz that's exactly what I was telling my therapist about! I'd really be a cruel monster to put another soul through the hell of being related to my blood! He/she would have very evil grandparents and an enabler uncle. No, thank you. Maybe if I become a billionaire next year when I'm 36, I'd think about it 😂 my health is in terrible condition already because of all the trauma I've been through, where would I get the heart to birth a human just to satisfy my maternal instincts! Don't get me wrong, it's absolutely based on personal circumstances. The therapy has been working well, and maybe if I start getting my shit together in the next couple of years, I'll start thinking about adopting. ONLY if I reach a decent enough state to raise a healthy human, but NEVER because JUST TO satisfy an instinct! We're in the 21 century and 7 billion humans on a planet that's become extremely competitive over ever increasingly rare resources. Whoever among us can take care of an already existing human better do it soon before the whole thing explodes and no one has any purpose to fulfill ever, whether stemming from instinct or a civilized mind!
