Fun fact: In the 18th century and earlier purple was actually a color for higher class people and even royalty! This was because purple was quite a rare color, which meant it was more expensive. They also wore that shade of purple and not just dark. So i love that you chose one of the higher class colors at the time to show the wealth people had at these balls. Poorer people could achieve purple from dying something first blue then red or vice versa, but it wasn't as good a colour at the and and didn't last as long as the purple dye the rich were using, so the purple dye was there to stay.

It would be really cool to have a ball with both 18th century costume and classic/sweet lolita so we can compare and contrast the lolita interpretation with the real deal, what was kept, what has changed. This would be especially good if you compared two dresses inspired by the same source material as a couple of Angelic Pretty dresses are pseudo-reproductions of specific dresses like the Madame Pompadour dress.

You did look great in your outfits for Paris including the dress you made. I do wonder if you would try historical outfits again. Glad you was able to enjoy the trip with your two best friends. It is even better one was willing to help you out at last minute and maybe was even expecting to pitch in considering how well your friends know you.
