Hey Ben, Question here... Where are you getting your points of leverage for your hindulotine when you execute the choke? I've played around with it in the past and it's hard for me to get enough pressure just by raising the S grip as high as I can, does it have to do with the downward pressure from the leg? Or are you applying other techniques as well to increase the pressure? Thanks in advance! Happy Holidays
@oXoChEzZaoXo
@oXoChEzZaoXo 2 жыл бұрын
I dont know much about the technicalities but from what ive seen he uses a thumb grip with his 3 smaller fingers to lock the choke in then uses his elbows and legs to squeeze,
@Boomstck
@Boomstck 2 жыл бұрын
@@oXoChEzZaoXo I believe you are correct, it's a modified S grip (ok grip?).

Reverse gable grip under the chin and point elbows up to finish the choke

Check the full ebi qualifier vid he explains it after he hindus the last guy. Explains the grip, power and choke type.

I explained the grip I use and going to this from rubber guard after the 10pq. I’m going to add the video of that here soon. Yea it’s just a lift that creates a slow blood choke. Think of it as like a hang man’s noose with your arms that’s hanging off your leg. The leg isn’t doing any downward pressure, it’s just there to stop his ability to posture. The elbows are both pointing up and arms are just lifting into the leg.. It’s a slow blood choke. There’s no strength in the grip, your goal is just to put a small crimp in his blood flow and keep that one for a good 15-20 seconds while he struggles different ways to get out.

I find the flat hair bands work best.. and just wrap it quite a few times.. I could probably make a vid on it 😁

Congrats. Why can't they fight your grip, it looks like there alot of space underneath
@Boomstck
@Boomstck 2 жыл бұрын
There's no space where he has his grip (i think it's an S grip), it's an extremely tight choke and will put you to sleep. I believe he has one or several videos explaining the grip type he uses, if you want to look into it some more.

It’s because I’m grabbing my thumb.. so they are pulling my wrist and my fingers, but all I need is the thumb and they can’t get to that once I have it held.

@@goku-pops7918 I don’t think so, but it’s possible.. I see us / an event eventually offering a no cage, no gloves open mat event.. just like how it looks with this CJJ.. but with all strikes / normal mma.. I’m honestly surprised it doesn’t already exist.. it’s the most natural real version we could do.. it’s possible I could do that.. but really, I just like jiu jitsu, never saw myself even doing this cjj.. and I honestly am here for the community and what I see is being apart of in health and changing how we manage land / work together as a people.. I’m just walking this competition path as it gives me the platform and has served as my connector, vehicle and teacher.

Why do grappler have to cut weight!! They should just have a more weight classes in grappling. Cutting weight is unnecessary it takes away from the action that can make bjj great again lol
