Great video! I recently picked up a 2022 Slingshot when I came to the realization that my legs and hips were too trashed to ride a bike anymore. So I sold my bike and grabbed this. Much fun indeed! I drive it to work whenever the heat's not too bad and there's no rain in the forecast. Did get caught in a "Spot shower" not he way into work one day but still had a blast. :). Keep them videos coming!

We have a gal in our riding group you might have seen at both Babes that rides a red slingshot. It's definitely a bike; she goes through rear tires every 5k like a true motorcycle!

@@KillswitchQueen well the one I drive was a first year model and seemed like a fast fork lift to me I rather drive can am spyder if I don a helmet with 3 wheels

I have always kind of (snobbily) looked down my nose at those things as an avid motorcyclist, but your videos are making me think about investigating them. thanks for making the video. they do look like fun to drive - or is it ride??? 😉😉

The automatics are better as for extra quick as far it's traffic but if you really want to get a good fast and wide always stick to the 5 speeds

I love the manual, it’s half the reason it’s stolen my heart 😂 it would be nice not to constantly shift in traffic, but hey it gives me something to do!

Always been curious about those things they look like they would be a blast I would make it to where I can lock the brake on one front tire so I can spin it around doing donuts

You know they make sports cars that are convertible, right? Seems to be essentially the same thing without the open to put the roof up when the weather turns bad. Oh and you got to wear a helmet. Am I missing something here?

Nice video, as you said you are getting used to the stick , I just think you are driving to much in a “sport mood” revving a lot and changing gears too abruptly, you could go smoother in my opnion(that doesn’t matter) my ex girlfriend used to do the same because of her anxiety in having the gears engaged as soon as possible so she always almost brake the stick, and I told her, you have some good gap time to change gears, don’t worry.😅 anyway nice video.

This is a very cool vehicle and quite suitable for an old dude like me. I'm thinking you wouldn't really trade your motorcycles for one and I doubt you would want to "rat-rod" it. It looked and sounded like you were having a hellava lotta fun! Blessings.

Wouldn't rat-rod one, I mean MAYBE but not anytime soon lol! I would 100% trade all but one bike for one of these... never said I wouldn't buy more bikes, just that'd I'd trade them :)

I think if I purchased a three wheeler it would be a Spyder or a trike. The Slingshot is to much like a car to me.

Super easy, first time I drove a stick shift after riding for years was no problem! Once you get the concept, it’s just applying it to the car/slingshot

Is it technically a motorcycle? Do you need a motorcycle license to drive it? Do you have to wear a helmet? Can you park it in motorcycle spots? Can you lane split with it?

It's technically called an autocycle cycle and no you do not need a motorcycle license and you suppose to wear a helmet but they're relaxed in law

And no you cannot lane split is the size of a car at least is the width of a car

In California they consider it a motorcycle and must wear a helmet ☹️ probably better in the event of a crash though

What does driving stick have to do with a license? Lots of cars are automatic, so driving this feels like a treat!

@@KillswitchQueen over here, there are only few driving test cars, with automatic gearbox. If you demand to take the test on that one, instead of normal gearbox, your drivers licence will have the "disabled" note on it, so you will only be allowed to drive vehicles with automatic gearbox.
