Great idea! Thank you. I mod it by just adding an end cap to the outer pvc pipe as the foot - no screws. If I need to adjust the height, just add small (but equal) sections of inner/smaller pvc tube :-)

Excellent quick idea! We are looking to extend the legs of a bird cage, and this is helpful in aiding me to figure out what I can do to lift up cage to keep the lower legs (metal) dry... because.. you know... a cat is going to do cat things on the bird cage legs!

Thank you for the great idea. I have a few folding tables that I use for folding clothes on but I don't like having to bend to do it. This will work out great and save my back.

This will work to raise the height of a toliet chair as well. IBM Disease individuals often need more height for a toliet chair.

Heyllo! Great video thank you!! I’m hoping to add castors too. The whole purpose is adapting my surroundings. The workbench or sewing table I need to raise the height to about elbow bend in order I may work standing. But I definitely need the weighty wooden table to roll in/out of place. What do you advise?? Thank You! 🧵💨

Have you made or acquired the work bench yet? If not, almost every woodworking KZfaqr has their "Ultimate Work Bench Video" ... I personalty want to make something inspired by John Heisz's Outdoor Workbench, it's slatted. As far as casters, I would suggest looking into "retractable castors" - instead of just locking the wheel in place they actually lift up off the ground, so it makes the object super sturdy when locked as it's literally just sitting on the ground.

Hello, I have a similar folding table. The smaller piece looks like it is 3/4" pvc but how big is the bigger one that slides over it? I'm guessing it's a 7/8" but couldn't quite tell for sure. Also what is the max amount that you would think that I could extend? I'm looking for a total of 18 inches additional height but not sure if that is possible. Won't have anything heavy on it, but just need a place to scrub laundry on. Thanks so much!

My table had 1 inch diameter legs, so I used a 3/4 inch, thick walled pvc pipe, that the legs were actual sitting on, and a 1 inch, thin walled pipe (that has an actual inner diameter of 1.10 inches, hence the need for tape) that acted a the "collar". I think you could do 18 inches without to much trouble.

Great video but I would highly recommend NOT using the palm of your hand as a backstop. If that drill bit or even screwdriver slips, you can have a nice hole in your hand. Otherwise, great video. Thanks.
