My first car I bought after college was a brand new 2001 Celica GT manual. Got totalled in 2002. Bought a 2002 GTS manual. Not a single regret. It now has 399,500 miles of smiles 😁and looks as good as new inside and out.

I had a 06 Sentra 1.8 that I got with 190k, I used it as my daily, drove the car 70k miles with only doing fluid changes, $20 set of spark plugs, and one wheel bearing after hitting a pothole. It was slow, but they drive nice, and handle pretty well. Still drove great when I sold it at 260k miles.

This is going to be a little bit of a hot take but I highly recommend the Saturn VUE, especially the redline edition. You get the legendary Honda 3.5 v6, awd and can get them with less than 200k miles for 1000-2500 easy.

One of my favorite cars is the 1998-2004 "new age" V6 Ford Mustang and if I had one I'd put on a twin turbo setup and/or a small/basic supercharger setup, put a SVT Cobra-R body kit on it, etc

I friggen love Trackers. And Samurais. Long ago I had someone offer me one in trade for my 84 Blazer, but I was too deep into the V8 culture to see the light. Jokes on me, the Tracker gets good enough mileage that I probably would still have it.

The "HARDTOP" Tracker is practically IMPOSSIBLE to find here in Western Washington State... But that's the one I want! 4WD with a Ford 3.0l V-6 (5-Speed) Swap would be SICK

Surprised the Altima 3.5 is getting any attention after all the memes. I personally own a 2005 Nissan Altima SE-R and I fell in love with it. Great car, hasn’t failed me but common problems. I currently have to change out my gallery gaskets and then my car will be as good as new again.

my first car was an 1000 dollar beater 96 chevy cavailer and i love that car when i turn 15 and i have it about two years and the motor blowen up and got rid of it and i like to have on the list is a nissian maxima cause the sound of the 350 sound and i like that sound but you try to sell it would be the same price or less then you bought it so its a cool list and i have to go with a chevy cobalt i found one under 3500 and fix it up and sound like an supercharged cobalt now thats is an car and put in an semi automatic transmission in it and play with that for years to come and maybe bring it to car meets and hope to make smiles on peoples faces so thanks brad keep up the good work

i found a 94 c4 for 3500. extremely clean if you clean the pollen, bird poop and the crud on the tires and its good as new. only problem is that its overheating and theres some knocking noise in the interior, probably one of the cats. cant wait to get it

My first car is a 2009 Subaru Impreza hatch, the 1.5 awd version. Bought it last year and still have it. Got it for 5500 $ at approx. 10 000 miles on the clock. 1 year and 10 000 miles later its still going as strong as ever. Just make sure to keep it at 100 km/h (62 mph) if you want the best fuel efficiency of 5.4 liters/100km (43,5 mpg)

My first car is my current one which I bought for 2.7k. It's a 1995 Nissan Sentra (manual of course). It's very fun and cheap to drive. It may be front wheel drive but it's still a really good first car. I'm currently modding it at the moment. Next week I'm getting it lowered and having a new exhaust put on it, then going to get kits and a spoiler.

@@dragster2483 yeah, change of plans lol. I got a new exhaust put on (coby exhaust) but that was just past the resonator so took out the muffler and put on a new exhaust, exhaust tip and some pipes all welded together. About the kit and lowering it's a bit too expensive at the moment because I'm saving for a new car which will probably be a Toyota MR2 but that may change lol. So yeah if I do keep modding my current car it won't be too expensive stuff since I want a better car yk?

I’m glad a Honda Civic made the list. I feel like every car guy has had one as a beater. Mine had 280k miles on the odometer that didn’t work and I put at least another 100k on it.

I had Mazdaspeed 6 the first year it came out ams it was insane but better than the power was the rollercoaster handling. Taking a cloverleaf exiting am overpass at 70 mph was a blast. Though at that time, I think the Mazdaspeed 3 was a better sleeper because there were no other serious hot hatches at the time and the Civic SI with 190 hp or the GTI with 205 hp were scared of the baby Speed 3.

Another car id recommend getting is a p71/p7b ford crown vic police interceptor they are going up in price but you can still get a good one for under 5K And with the reliable and somewhat quick 4.6 2v motors that are usually maintained every three to five thousand miles from the police department's they came from they'll last forever even if you beat on them. Not to mention a body on frame v8 rwd 3800 pound sedan that will roast tires and body roll in the process will put a massive smile on your face trust me i drive one

Whatever car I'd have needs four doors...it's more practical and has decent resale value. Two door cars in my area are few and far between. The Sentra you showed has a decent automatic transmission, it's not a CVT.

@@misprintzrust I was just a little taller than that at your age and couldn't get my legs behind the steering wheel. By the time I was 18 I couldn't get my legs in the passenger side(literally couldn't fit) . Maybe find one used for sale to check out but more than likely you're only gonna get taller. I've been stuck with a hand-me-down for a decade, and I've been desperate to scrounge up enough money to upgrade to a bigger car, I'm 6'0. My car is a 2011 Kia Rio, at stock spec. For a hand-me-down back in 2012, I couldn't complain. 10 years later though... It's small and anemic. She does do her job though, and because I've had it for so long, I have a sense of what it's capable of. My car guy friend, who called it gutless, said he wouldn't take it above 70, but I've been able to take it to 90 before getting uncomfortable. The eco boost does shut off at about 75, unless I really baby it and trick it to hit 79 max before shutting off. Idk, I find it's time to upgrade, money is the biggest problem tho.
