@@IdealMediaChannel I hope your importing a Toyota Caldina with a 3SGTE... LOL, tuning potential through the roof and also a perfect sleeper. I have a 4WD Celica ST185 with a forged 3SGTE gen 4 engine. I think 3SGTE is one of the most underrated engines. The Legendary Castrol Supra used it, instead of the 2JZ.

This video made me feel good in the sense that I LOVE 90’s JDM. I agree with you on: GS300 & GS400 (I think Ryan Teurk LS swapped one several years back) The Impreza. The Civic. The Miata even though I can’t fit in one. The 180 aka 240 aka S13 aka S14 aka Silvia. That Chaser isn’t a bad look too. How about some JDM Trucks & SUV’s? Nissan Pathfinder (1990-95, 1996-98, 2000-2002.5) Hardbody Pickup, Toyota Tacoma, Landcruiser. You know I can’t think of any others. Hmm 🤔.

Lucky for me and others that live in the UK the cars on this list are everywhere and not that difficult to find, it's good that the US can now import them and have even more fun at car meets/shows.

I'd argue that the 2GR engine from Toyota is very underrated. A supercharger and a few more mods will give you 400+HP from that engine. Don't believe me? Check Lotus out.

crown athlete, mark x are some fun jdms with gr engines. mark x even has a factory modellista supercharged 355 hp 2gr engine with RWD. still its basically non existent in the US @@IdealMediaChannel

I have a 1995 1.6L Nissan 200sx. I've done a lot of cosmetic work to it but nothing much with the motor. I bought it brand new in 95 and still have it today. I found this video very helpful for selecting the next motor to put in it.

You guys should make videos about mods that increase your car insurance, don't affect your car insurance, and do decrease your car insurance. Would be helpful! Edit: I want a 1998-2002 Honda Accord Coupe V6 or 2001-2005 Honda Civic Ex Sedan as my first daily reliable car. 😅

It's really friggen amazing that even though they are now 10x what they were worth a decade ago, the 240SX is still one of the best values if you want a lightweight rear wheel drive vehicle that is easy to wrench on.

Everyone talks about the big hulking 4 door gs but NOBODY acknowledges the Lexus Sc300. The mk4 supra before the mk4 supra came out. Same thick rod internals from the gte in every single non vvti 2jzge. The sc300 is an absolute banger of a car that can do everything the mk4 can do but better. Plus it looks atleast 10x better.

You guys should pop off making single segments for the jdm legends of the 90's talk about pro's con's and then the modding option to make them ideal. You guys have some great videos and I love watching them just hope you will make something for us 3000gt VR-4/Stealth RT TT guys, we get no love since the 3000gt was not in any big movies and the car was sold in the USA so it didn't have the same draw of an R32 from the same time.

Never owned one, but you forgot about DSM... The GSX, EVO, and Gallant VR4. All AWD turbo w/ a massive amount of aftermarket support and 1000hp potential.

just picked up an 07 mazda3 for just 5k- only 118k miles on it, spoiler, dude I love this thing. before I actually got it I was joking about selling it for an NA Miata, still praying I get a Miata before they keep skyrocketing in price but damn I love this car. maybe sell the speed3 for a couple thousand in profit and snatch an NA lmao. enjoy your car man!!

I've had 4 Aristo's. I'll say this to anyone who wants one. Do not get the one with all wheel steering. Those fail Alot. Other than that. From the 94-2000 are great. Gte vvti or non vvti either way the best ones. Just stay clear of the AWS and it's hard to find tie rod ends for the rear

I would have left out the WRX. Unless you’re taking the engine apart and putting in better internals you’re gonna get taken to gapplebees with just bolt ons. I’ve got the slowest GLI in my community and I smoke WRX’s without much effort

Honda Civic. Toyota Corolla. or Rav4 / CRV if you need more versatility. Those are the cars parents should buy their kids. Best first car ever IMHO for an enthusiast, is a Miata. But your parents probably think it's "too impractical"

Step 1 look at dealerships in Canada. That’s how I’m importing my car. So much easier than dealing with Japan.

I love the lists but your missing one classic legendary JDM. Toyota MR2 Twin Turbo. Capable of 850hp with the right add ons. On top of that , you hardly ever seen one on the streets that’s how rare they are. Unlike the RX7 with their faulty turbo the MR2 are more reliable than a couple of the cars you listed on this video. 😉👍

the 7M that comes in the late model Cressida goes through head gaskets like oil filters. Mine lasted about 4 months.

Buy one from an importer is the best advice. Trying to import one yourself is a total nightmare. I'm buying mine from a Canadian importer. Process has been SUPER easy.

@@IdealMediaChannel I do beat myself up though of getting rid of my 89 fox. Mother gave it to me for my senior year but was embarrassed that it had a 2.3 motor. Oh the things I could have done with it...
