Though you raise a fair point, I’d say that those who laughed can still win in the end. They can sue for property and emotional damage caused by the red car drivers failure to drive normally. Thus, they can pay for a completely new car. I agree it was hilarious

Also how he immediatly grab his phone to call emergency, no time for being surprised! He doesn't even seems to panic. He must be used to emergency situation (cops/soldier/firefighter/etc...). Anyway, nice to see that people can think about helping before taking picture/video

@The Bump Test Guy that is a normal thing for pro mowers. They have the walk behind models for normal people, then those for pros, then riding mowers and then the HUGE riding mowers they use on golf courses and things. I mean Zeppelin sized machines the mob might use to dispose of rats lol

That's not a hoverboard, it's actually attached to the mower, it's called a sulkie or something. It's quite common on commercial lawnmowers.

Yeah, using the van as a boat launch was actually pretty smart if you’re trying to rescue people in a flooded area. (If, of course, the immediate weather threat is over, as it looked to be there.)

@@goldcakes Wouldn't have mattered. Had the driver been paying attention to the road, he would have missed the pole. Had he been watching the 'sidewinder' go off the side, he would have missed the pole. Had he seen the pole come down in time to react, he would still have cars in front and behind. There just isn't enough time to react when you aren't sure what you are seeing is what is happening.

In some areas there are laws against parking a gas car in an electric spot, and you can get towed away. That's probably the reason for putting the charger under the hood like that, rather than just worrying someone will complain.

It's funnier when you know the backstory of it, I've met the guy at a car meet (it's gotta be the same one I doubt there are any other electric Suzuki Escudos, same color even lol) it's an EV conversion, it's got a single electric motor from a Tesla model S connected to the driveshaft and has a Nissan Leaf battery pack. He told me it was a challenge to himself to build a cheap EV and drive it across the country without paying anything else other than road tolls.

it's not a hoverboard, it's a fancy mower that has a standing "pad" behind it. landscaping companies use these. (I work in a VERY affluent area where no one mows their own lawns - I see these multiple times a week.)

By the way, they have a checklist, so the brakes would have had to have a catastrophic failure between the checklist check, and the probably fatal crash... assuming the checklist was ever used...

I know you mean this as a joke, but it looked like the bus landed on top of the white car. That was probably fatal to the people inside if that did happen, not to mention whatever happened to the other cars and the passengers in the bus. It was at least something the city needs to investigate and try to prevent in the future, if not criminal negligence or flat out criminal driving.

@@misseselise3864 Because laughing at someone in distress out of their control is just nasty. The red car obviously had a problem and tried to just get to the exit. And they slowed down to watch and laugh. They could have stopped to ask if the driver needs help but naaah lets laugh instead of paying attention to the situation. It was an accident no matter how slight it is you need to pay attention but instead they were like : " hahahaha there he goes huehehaa " . That's what you get for laughing at others misfortune. Karma is a bitch :D

Yeah, can confirm that's not a hoverboard. It's called a sulky. Many walk-behind mowers have a connection point you can connect it to, it functions like a little trailer that you can stand on. You typically don't see homeowners using them, you only ever see commercial lawn maintenance crews use them.

Of course it is true. Also the most dangerous place for pedestrians, most of whom have their brain switched off and are not alert and observant of their surroundings, is a traffic controlled intersection, and those pedestrians waiting to cross the street. Unless one is vigilant and constantly watching the traffic, a vehicle can come through an intersection, as happened here. Drivers often make errors when turning, or shoot a red light, then veer off-course. Pedestrians are at great risk. Neither do these stupid parents teach their sons and daughters about such dangers. People/pedestrians waiting to cross a street are happily chatting away with each other or staring at their phone, totally oblivious to the potential danger that can happen at any time without warning. Though it is a good way to reduce the population of ignorant and stupid people. It is natures way. So don;t enter the FATE ZONE -- It can be and one day WILL be FATAL. Then One will join EVERYBODY in the Cemetery. It is filled with BODIES

No he didn't. He could have been watching the road ahead all the time, and then the light pole comes down from above (where he can't see it) and hits him. On the other hand, if he had been laughing and not paying attention, and driven into the rear of a vehicle in front, then that would have been karma. How could the driver have known that the light pole was coming down if he was watching the road ahead of him?

2:00 - It's incredibly lucky that the man on the lawnmower happened to be facing towards the street at this moment so he could see the car coming towards him, AND that he was standing up and not sitting down on the mower, so that he could jump and run instantly.
