With the idw Beast Wars artstyle being my fan favourite,i'm really glad to see it get attention,Beast Wars was the classic that started it all in my opinion,Beast Wars should get more love

If you like Burnham's writing style, I highly reccomend reading his IDW Ghostbusters stories for some light hearted ghost busting fun.

I personally absolutely adore the idw beast wars comics I love how it tries to do different ideas from what the tv show did kinda similar to tfa and the art style was just ah! It’s so perfect I’d say it’s like a mixture between tfa and mtmte I wouldn’t actually mind seeing a transformers show or movie with josh burcham’s art style but yeah I love the idw beast wars comics and can’t wait to see where they go further (and hopefully won’t end on a cliffhanger once idw can no longer make transformers comics)

Dinobot defected from the Predacons because he thought Megatron was an idiot that stranded them on the wrong planet. he even defects from the Maximals briefly because he finds out that Megatron actually DID succeed at taking them to ancient earth. it had absolutely nothing to do with him being repulsed by Predacon tactics. for somebody who complained about Beast Wars telling more than it shows, you really seemed to have missed the entire point of that scene.

Coding the protoforms to be maximals and predacons doesn't change their personalities, they still develop their own morals, you can think the initial coding is just his initial memory, like a kid who is raised to be a Doctor but then he realizes he wants to be a Lawyer, or a family that pushes a political agenda and then the kid changes his mind when he grows up. This is why Dinobot switched sides and in the original story Silverbolt and Blackarachnia did it also.

You've sold me on this comic. I love the art. It's gorgeous, and I definitely prefer Arty Art Transformers to Roboty Art Transformers.

Just as you said, this is way too short of a story to actually give an opinion, I liked some things, but a lot of the best characters and stories of the original series is still missing, nothing feels well constructed, it feels even more episodic than the original series that was actually intended to be an episodic cartoon without an arc and then the showrunners just realized that they could do way better with a bigger story arc. Here Megatron, arguably the most important character (since the whole original story revolves around his actions) is barely mentioned, you only know that he is the leader of the predacons, he is evil and is trying to decode the golden disk, thats it, you don't know anything about him, not even about his skills or his personality, he is just the bad guy. By contrast, in the original series you know Megatron is a megalomaniac with an istrionic personality but he is also smarter than everyone gives him credit for, he manages to actually win the whole Beast Wars since season one despite being crippled by their traitourous and incompetent crew, just imagine this Megatron with lieutenants like Shockwave and Soundwave rather than a crew of Starscream clones. Anyway, my point is that is too soon to give an honest opinion about this reboot, but it is promising, they still have plenty of oportunities to make it better than the original series that has a way better overall story arc so far, they can even fix the original mistakes that several TF series make, like having an overpowered group of heroes that are never in real danger because they are 100 times better at combat than their enemies, even in TF Prime the Autobots were bastly outnumbered by (according to themselves) an entire army of trained soldiers and they were just clerks and civilians. This is a terrible cognitive dissonance that has plagued most Transformers media and nobody has ever mentioned it.

6:14 in the show he actually goes to lead the maximals nothing to do with Honour. It showed he's too prideful to serve a maximal so he fights primal for command SHOWING HONOUR IN NOT KILLING PRIMAL WHEN HE WAS DISARMED. That's the example given in the show of Dinobots honour I'd say the biggest difference is the show Dinobot is prideful about being a predicon and tourture is fine but killing without reason against a weaker foe is dishonourable. So you saying the show should show more than tell IT DOES. if anything I'd say the comic shows less because in the comic he's all about honour he seems disgusted by the predicon ways which makes ya think why didn't he defect on Cybertron then how did he even fall in with them. Aka the difference is I can see the show Dinobot being a predicon criminal prideful, arrogant, unsure and easily manipulated I can see him falling in with the wrong crowd. The comic one just seems to noble too disgusted by predicon tactics.

First 14 issue is great. But everything after that is horrible. And ı am actually glad they cancelled it after the 17th issue. What they did to fan favorites at 15 to 17 is just painfull to read. Especially Tigotron. If people think Beast machines make the characters dirty,than you guys deffinetly hate this new take on them. The art style is just magnificent though. I especially love how Dinobot is looks like.

Forcing people to watch the OG Beast Wars cartoon is a form of torture in some countries. The animation is beyond janky and is sooo hard to watch!
