a7 rf6+ (rh8 is a blunder due to Bf6+ fork); Ke2 re6+ (rf8 is also a blunder due to Bf6+ rxf6; a8(Q)... If Kc5 then Bd7+ fork again) Kd2 rd8; Bf2+ ke5; Bg3+ ke6; Bb8 and a8(Q) follows or axb8(Q) if the rook takes the bishop

When you think you've found the answer to one of these puzzles, look for the correct answer. A variation on, when you've found a good move, look for a better move.

Great but I believe there’s a simpler variation : Bishop d8, Tower h8 (?) Bishop c7, Blacks go any place Pawn a7, Blacks go any place Bishop b8, … Am I wrong somewhere ?

There's this line covered in the video : Bd8 Rh2+ then the rook stays on a2 or somewhere on the a file, and the rook will block any promotion while black wins with his e pawn. And also Bd8 Kxd3 (to avoid the fork), Bc7 Rh8, a7 Ra8 and the pawn will never promote.

@4:46: Why not pin the rook with Bf6? Forces a king move and you get the promotion right after.

White is in check so Bf6 is not a legal move.
