M D you're not alone. It took me 11. Had to stop to take care of my mom. Years passed. I just graduated with honors last April. My graduation was in December. I was so elated I got to attend in my robe, cap, and cord!! That was also the first time my family had been on a plane. I was joyful to share that experience with them! I'm also in my 40's and never had a home or owned one and that's a big deal for me. I'm really striving for that now.

Thank you for this. I am definitely a late bloomer. Spending my youth playing the game of life, then realizing in my late 40’s that my path does not subscribe to that. I turned 50 this year, and I am committed to taking my time figuring out what my purpose is. Don’t get it twisted, you may be a late bloomer, but you have gained and acquired wisdom during that time. Therapy 💕 soul soothing. I took 7 yrs and I was ridiculed. This video is so validating. Now when I look back doing things to please others and denying myself is the biggest reason. So great to see many speaking up on the same experiences of being a late bloomer. Feels less alone

Thank you for this. I am 42, children 18,20,21… I am married, I was just laid off after working 10.5 years straight. I am using this time to take a break and find myself again and now I have an empty nest, I am embracing this part of my life, and when I do go back to work, it will not be job that is running me into the ground mentally or physically.

That song was amazing! I love this message. I'm a late bloomer but it didn't look like it because I "got a degree". Turns out, I didn't really need that degree to start and run a creative business (my dream). The degree only got me caught up in Corporate America which drains every bit of energy out of me. I started college in 2012 and finished in 2019. I felt like such a failure. I could never find a good job and fit my skills. People still today ask why I'm not using my degree (like it's that simple..). I still feel behind, but I will say I am getting married in 2 weeks, and I would have never met my fiance if I was "on track". I would have been in a different part of the country and would have been in different places than he was. I am really thankful I know him, he's so supportive and kind and exactly the kind of partner I need. I dunno where im going in my career. I have gotten passed up for promotions and interviews every single time i try. Hopefully ill get my breakthrough soon. I could really use it.

Amazing 👏🏾 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. Thank you for your insights. I think alot of out insecurities bloom from how we're taught from a young age, in school, to compare and contrast and compete for positions. They're always a sense of competition pushed subtly, so even though We Know we're unique and in our special, we are like you said, "brainwashed" to believe we're not good enough, ever, really. But I'm proud of you!!
