No one knows YOUR mower better than you so if at any point something "feels" off STOP AND CHECK IT OUT!!
Guys trust your gut instinct. It might sound strange to say if it "feels" off, but there's no other way to describe it. Sometimes there's a slight vibration in the steering controls that wasn't there before, other times it's a knocking noise or you can feel something hit ever so slightly every once in a while... the possibilities could be endless.
Now if you just hit a rock or a tree root or some other foreign object with the blades I would check that first...you probably bent something that's causing a blade(s) to hit themselves or the mower deck, BUT if you know you haven't hit anything...9 times out of 10 this is your problem.
More than likely you have something like a rock, stick, sweetgum ball, etc... that jumped up in between your pulley and your belt. It sounds like a one in a million possibilities, but trust me it happens far more often than you think! Sometimes it can be in your mower deck pulley, while other times it's your drive pulley...in either situation, if left unanswered its surely to shred a belt or make the belt jump off the pulley (and then likely shred itself into a tangled mess). That means wasted time and money to get back operational.
The bottom line is...if it doesn't feel right take 5 minutes to see what's causing the issue instead of spending an entire day repairing your mower or running to get parts. If you don't find the issue and it still "feels" off... look again, maybe run your fingers around the pulleys and check the blind spots. Whatever you do, don't just shrug your shoulders and go on about your day....trust me on this one!!
Hope this helps y'all!! If you have any questions drop them in the comment section and answer them ASAP!
Thanks Again & God Bless!
