Funny this video just popped up in my box. I bought a 2011 650 Ex last week. The thing was so well taken care of it looks and runs like a new one. Only 18K miles on it with the same windscreen you have on yours. The thing that I noticed is it gives me the feeling of playing a video game when I riding it. There is barely any sensation of speed. 40 mph feels like it's creeping. And if you aren't watching the speedo, you'll quickly be doing 70+ without realizing it. My other bikes include a Ducati and a 1200cc Tenere, so I know what fast feels like. Was riding it home Saturday after a breakfast ride with my grandson and felt like I was cruising on the highway at the 70 mph posted speed limit, but when I looked down, it was showing 86 mph. I gotta fix the cruise control. I bought it for scooting around Colorado.

Riding 50 years. Owned 22 bikes. Ridden many more. The one that has outlasted the last 5 bikes - a 650 Burgman. Had it since 2008. Brings the most smiles, most fun, most practical & i don't have to dress up like an off-road Darth Vader or an on-road wanna-be boy racer. To top it all cage drivers think you're a nerd so you cannot possibly be a visor-tinted, leather-clad child of the track & are thus nice to you on the road.......what more could you possibly ask for? You want to ride a Magic Carpet too....? Tough, Suzuki in their wisdom stopped making the thing. Buy 2nd/3rd-hand it will last forever!

A couple of years ago there was a video online of a racer riding a 650 Bergman in a group ride/race of about 10 miles down Tuna Canyon Road toward the Pacific Coast Hwy near Malibu, CA. He was riding a rental 650 Bergman and all the others were riding motorcycles. They kindof staggered their starting, and he passed about 2 or 3 of them, and was continuing to chase them down until he spun out on a curve. Sorry, I can't find the link, but if I do an update will be forthcoming.

I just bought a 2011 Burgman 650 for $400. It didn’t run the owner said. It sat for 2 years and the battery couldn’t turn it over, which is why he said it didn’t run. I brought a new battery with me, and it fired right up… I rode it home even. My normal 2 wheeled vehicle is a Harley, but this thing is fun to ride, powerful and comfortable.
