You guys are great! I don’t have workout buddies and I lift at home alone. Your podcasts give me great info and it’s like listening to the gym bros. Thank you!

Thank you for consistently delivering an informative show. It has changed my fitness routine for the better, and I've seen the most improvement in my physic since I started listening to you. The health and fitness industry is rife with contradictory and confusing information, and you guys make it so simple and easy to understand for the general public. It's fantastic!

Oh man! I cannot believe how long I fell for the whole body style schtick! It seemed just reasonable enough to be believable to those who aren’t privy to the knowledge, but it always seemed off to me. Thank the Lord I’ve been enlightened by people like y’all!

I appreciate how raw y’all are about the health and fitness industry/lifestyle. I’ve been listening on and off since about 2017 and anytime I seem to be getting of track MP seems to have been one of my better course corrections. Thanks again!

What I love about this episode is its the same message I keep trying to explain to people....everything is highly individualized. We all have advantages and disadvantages with movements, body size, how we react to foods etc... The best thing you can do is be open to trying things, and experiment. Figure out what works best for you and stick to it.

More incredible content and advice! Love the concept of NOT following the crowd and paying attention to your body and finding what works for you. This is something that becomes even more important when you suffer from conditions such as Celiac (me) and PCOS (my wife). We have found that the "common truth" says we should both be eating Low Carb or even Keto. I have found that Keto absolutely DOES NOT WORK for me. When I run about 100-150g of Carbs a day I have optimal energy levels, good workouts and drop body fat pretty quickly. On top of that, I was a scrawny "hard gainer" as a kid, even through college. Now, in my mid 40's, finally finding a nutritional balance that works for me I am finally able to put on lean muscle mass! I will be sharing this episode with a number of my students and friends, it is absolutely on point!

Referring to the early part of the video and I do understand the context where behaviour is more so looked then genetics. So ignore your body type or train with your genetics in mind? The Olympics is a perfect example of when an individual works towards their strengths from a genetic perspective to illicit the maximum performance/results true? Eg. All weightlifters are not over a certain height and swimmers are all the same body type. The latter part of the conversation is everyone is different and reacts different to eating a high protein meal verse a high carb meal. Common sense would be to work towards what works. Genetics/body type is the one thing you can't change but work with was what I got from the conversation. Thanks for the great content guys.

Thanks for the great content as always guys. Genetic diversity in diet response has been massively under-emphasised. Would be interested in your thoughts on whether it’s worth getting bloodwork done to understand your personal response to different macronutrients (i.e. amylase for carbs etc.)…

Always great to hear knowledgeable discussion. My question would be, is it better to drink a protein shake after a late workout (like 1030pm) if I'm going to bed at 11:30ish? Or would it be better to make sure I have adequate protein throughout the day and not worry about a post lift meal/drink?

When I used to eat meat and junk and just unhealthy I could stay up late, get up early head to outdoor music festival and be out in the July heat in Texas all day long and be fine! First year I went vegetarian and started eating better, went to an outdoor show and I had to leave around 5pm because I got heat exhaustion so bad, I had a migraine and nausea. I could not believe it, you would think my body would have been able to handle it better but nope! I think it had to do with not eating enough calories, crazy!

As a physical therapist student who has started working with some athletes (mostly high school, I’m not quite cool enough to work with pros 😉). It’s always a tough balance because I want to correct their movement, but I don’t want their performance to suffer either. If fixing their sport movement is impossible I focus on everything ELSE they are doing that could contribute to their pain problem

If I am using a calisthenics style program at home, what are the best exercises can I use to mimic or replace the big 7 compound lifts you guys suggest to be practiced in the gym with weights? Pull up, push up, dips, body weight rows, and body weight squat variations are obvious. What could a guy utilize to gain similar benefits of a dead lift without having access to all of the equipment required to practice the dead lift?

Is the .5 to 1g protein per lb body weight meant to be targeting where you want to be, or where you’re at? For example if I am 200lbs and want to be 210 should I be shooting for 210g? Same if I want to be 190 etc. always been an unclear part to this whole equation

I love this show but wish that one guy stop cursing so much. Just lowers the quality of the show for me. Sadly this kinda unprofessionalism is everywhere now. Too bad, the content is so good but I cannot recommend to my young nephew who is looking to listen to fitness topics.
