I’m 66 and am very familiar with the “good ole’ boys” system!! It is so very refreshing to see this beautiful young couple boldly, without regret, confront sin head on!! I applaud this couple and the younger generation for speaking TRUTH!! The truth THAT YOU KNOW, will SET YOU FREE!! What happens to a brother or sister in the Body of Christ affects us all!! We are ALL vindicated when our Brethern are vindicated!!! As believers, we are to rejoice with others who rejoice and weep with those who weep! What deeply concerns me is these are only the ones we know about.

The lack of discernment at IHOP, and frankly many of the charismatic churches is very troubling.

That whole thing about MB not being on staff is ridiculous! He had his own office. He was on staff! Maybe not on paper, but he represented the church and the highest spiritual authority there at the church. The argument that "he is not on staff" to get away from legal responsibility is just callus!

Having had a predatory relative who developed mild to moderate dementia, BH reminds me SO SO much of him. For his final 20 years he gradually lost his ability to filter or inhibit his thoughts, feelings and behaviors when it came to “his needs”.

For the people throwing around the phrase. "Where's the mecry?" They need to go back and read about Jesus and the money changers in the temple. Jesus did not quietly ask them to leave His Father's temple and go to one he was not at. He dealt with it publicly so all of those around knew what was right and wrong. Not confronting a issue is not mercy. Letting someone harm others freely is not mercy. Part of mercy is shining a light on darkness so that it may be corrected and stopped. Why do you think God is bringing out all of this now? Becuase correction is need to stop the damage and for the body to heal. Keep up the great work you guys!

Bob Hartley seems seriously mentally ill. I was a student at the Forerunner School of Prayer in the early 2000's. I took a class he taught. He was a good teacher and the class was excellent. The videos I have viewed this past week at Brother John's you tube channel regarding Bob Hartley have been shocking beyond words. He doesn't even look like the same man. I have found it tragic and sad. For his family, all of his victims and for how far he has fallen. May our Lord Jesus bring all the truth to light and bring righteous and justice.

Bob H. Prophesied over me as a complete stranger at his house in KC 20 years ago and read my mail. He was so influential at IHOP for many years and long before IHOP even started. It’s infuriating how IHOP continues to distance themselves from him to try to minimize their culpability. It’s so shocking and not ok what Bob has done. Also I was at BSSM and part time staff at Bethel. I had no idea that Bethel banned Bob from ministering at Bethel until this week when all this came out! Never knew it. Bethel should have made that public back then. Maybe it could have prevented more people from being abused. What a mess.

The more of this stuff that gets uncovered the more I wonder what else they're hiding. In other words, follow the money.

Mercy means bringing the abuser to justice. Mercy is to speak the Truth in Love. Mercy is shining the Light on the darkness. Mercy is accountability and transparency. Mercy is shutting down Cover up Culture. Mercy is seeking justice for the abused. Mercy is stopping abuse.

The whole IHOPkc thing is an exposure of the grave danger of the prophetic movement. I was in a church for 8 years that actively taught prophecy. I was considered prophetic by my peers, and my dreams and visions caused great harm to them. Now, I am working to get people out and steer them away from these false churches.

About itinerant “prophets”: Paul the Apostle always did his itinerant ministry traveling with another man of God. What ever happened to biblical WISDOM? But, but, but…prophecy!…signs and wonders! Ugh. Billy Graham was so biblical in insisting on personal holiness and safeguards for himself and his staff - never in a closed room with a woman alone, etc. It’s all so disheartening.

After watching your video I went to FB and looked up Bob Hartley. Interesting, that both he and Bickle (via wife Diane) are using real estate to fund projects. BH is recently promoting the Prayer Room. I would have no idea he has been banned based on his FB. Transparency is needed.

Did you guys see Misty Edwards recent tweet, putting Jane Doe‘s in quotation marks as if they’re not really doing those and the advocate group and quotation marks as if they’re not really advocating and acting like she’s the victim? When she’s proclaiming that she’s not the victim which I do believe her if she says she’s not a victim and then she mentioned that I hope Casey has investigated her and the other Non-gene those who claim they are not victims, and for some reason she’s blaming the advocate group with the advocate group is not investigating her the people who say that they are not a victim should not be investigated and interrogated. So Misty is struggling with the same thing essentially that everyone else has dealt with a Ihop when it comes to especially being a female of being questioned over and over and over again but for some reason she’s not realizing that it’s IHOP, Casey’s fault and not the advocate group, I was really shocked to see that she’s against the advocate group and that she still thinks Mika Bickle is fine according to her statement saying that it’s a plan attack on Mike pickle, etc. acting like he’s innocent and she has a bunch of people that follow her that believe that Micheal is innocent and they’re all speaking on her tweet. It’s pretty insane. The complete split of people who still believe that in Mike Bickle is innocent even though he’s admitted it himself and on top of that has been permanently separated. I’m wondering what you guys think about I’m assuming you may have already seen the tweet but wasn’t sure.

It’s not Bill Johnson’s job to tell IHOP how to handle Hartley. As I understand it, the same person who shared the info with Bill shared the info with IHOP leadership. It’s not like he had info that THEY didn’t. As I understand it, the same person who shared incriminating evidence with Bill also shared it with IHOP (where Bob was actually located.) It’s not Bill’s job to tell every church on the planet how to deal with every person that HIS church has ever “disciplined.” Do you think every preacher should publish a “do not fly” list for the whole world? If there were such a list, what would keep a wolf (like Bickle) from putting someone on it without just cause (because they’re a threat to him?) Each pastor is responsible for his own flock - and that’s a huge responsibility in and of itself. You can’t blame a shepherd in CA for every wolf that wanders to KS or 48 other states or hundreds of other countries.

The whole concept of modern day Apostles and Prophets and miracles and visions and healings is totally theologically flawed and so exploited to spiritually manipulate people. Go back to the Bible and shut down the flawed charismatic theology. Also if Jane Doe was cognisant enough to object to other women receiving attention from Bickle, how was she somehow not cognisant that cheating with him against his wife was wrong. I was a 19-23 year old woman and wouldn’t have ever dreamed of looking twice at a married man. Other women turned down his overtures. He is clearly evil and degenerate so of course he is the most responsible for the whole situation. Look at Fighting for the Faith Bickle Pickle on this platform - Bickle is speaking of himself - he knows exactly what he is doing and describes his own behaviour in great and explicit detail - and telling folk to avoid men like that - whilst totally describing himself. This is some crazy reverse psychology.

There's something wrong with his voice. I could barely understand him on the mic. He gets up there regularly, as recently as a few weeks ago, one of my last times there. My husband and I were part of a church some years ago and we left after 12 years because of spiritual abuse we confronted them but we had to leave because there was no change yet a lot of people who knew the leaders especially the organization did nothing about it but I think the church organization didn’t do anything because I believe those leaders were the same, people attract to like minded people. Because of this issue after we left we had to deal with so much hurt and pain. God brought us through so much, we’re doing better but things still come up in regard to emotions but God is good and has helped us a lot. We’ve come a long way 😊PTL. I agree with you there needs to be change in the Body of Christ. P.S. We still choose to forgive but at the same time what was done was wrong. Just an extra thought we need people to talk to that we can be believed when there is abuse, sometimes we don’t want to believe the person is doing these things, there needs to be more teaching about these issues because there’s type of abuse that is so subtle I know we need the discernment in the body of Christ. If there is sexual abuse we need quick action. Thanks for your input.

love COVERS a multitude of sins as in Love has got it covered in terms of forgiveness BUT love does NOT cover up sin or hide it. I have been learning the very important difference and the wrong teachings that have been handed down in the guise of "mercy".

The statement made at 37:06, says it all. "Maybe it's just mumbo-jumbo". Yes, it's ALL mumbo-jumbo. None of these charismatic leaders (Bickle, Johnson, Copeland, Jones, Krick, etc., etc., etc.) are receiving prophetic words. None of them are Apostles or "anointed men or women". The last Apostle was John and only Christ is the Anointed One. If these men had lived in Moses' day, they would have been stoned as false prophets. If they had lived in Paul's day, they would have been treated as unbelievers by the church. But today, they are lifted up as great leaders. If you attend one of these churches, please leave that church and find a real bible believing church where the word of God is preached and practiced.

Greetings from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺 I liked when you said "maybe it all was just a bunch of mumbo-jumbo" When I was a Pentecostal/Charismatic (30+ years), I heard from a lot of "prophets". Many said some very encouraging things but many things I heard were very wrong. I also heard from many prophets that said things publicly in a public forum and were just plain wrong. As Pentecostals/charismatics we give the benefit of the doubt to people who say things in the name of God and give grace when most are just saying things based on subjective experience and feelings and not based on biblical truth. Like you both, about 10 years ago, I began asking questions but I was told not to have a "religious spirit." I was told I was acting like a "pharisee" by asking these questions. It all came to a head when I was watching Todd Bentley live 24/7 on God Tv and I was flabbergasted that no one in the charismatic community was calling the shenanigans out as unbiblical and heretical. The only ones calling it out that I could see were NOT charismatic or Pentecostal. But I personally didn't give them the time of day initially because I believed they shouldn't be saying anything because they weren't "spirit filled" as I understood it as a charismatic person. But the more I watched these so called "hyper critics" and "religious heresy hunters" the more they kept on making a lot more sense because they judged what was happening to what the Bible actually says and not informed by subjective emotional experiences. I guess these guys didn't care to be called Pharisee or accused of having a "religious spirit". How come none of the Super Apostles/Prophets that were involved in the commissioning of Todd Bentley were not held to account for the whole Lakeland debacle. Only weeks later the real story broke and the whole thing was exposed as just a scam. So many Super Apostles just wrong. Prophesied over Todd when he was neck deep in sin spouting lies about himself. When are these prophets going to apologise for not speaking against that whole "revival". So many lives effected and left shipwrecked and destroyed. The name of Christ Jesus in disrepute as all this was done in His name. Just blasphemy. Why weren't they called out by the charismatic community? Why weren't they called to account? If they ever were a true Christian, I believe Holy Spirit brings conviction for them to repent and turn back to God, but when they refuse and continue to sin, they're not anointed or filled with Holy Spirit. They may have a Spirit moving, but I don't believe it's our precious Holy Spirit. God hates lies and deception. The Holy Spirit has stopped me from praying for someone I later discovered was telling a lie about that which I was praying. Holy Spirit will lead us to truth. 8 years ago, I 'room-mated' with a woman recognized as a Southern California prophetess. After 3 months, I couldn't wait to leave her. She and a third roommate (all of us over age 50) brought in a man half our age to live with us. I protested that this was unholy, but they refused to listen; I even found this third roommate sleeping next to this young man. I quickly found a new apartment. I am still on this woman's email list as she continues to travel around the U.S. as a 'minister.' She convinced a man who left the gay movement that he is a minister 'under her authority.' A gay man leaving that lifestyle must submit to a mature, male pastor for healing.

Your point about these men just not taking responsibility is spot on. Considering how much responsibility was placed on staff at ihop and how much control the leaders had it is crazy that now they will take NO responsibility and act like they had no power. In my early years in ministry I told a group of elders that I felt they were responsible for a leader's actions, they didn't like it, they claimed to have no power but they did have power....as long as they were loyal to the leader. There is this strange confusion that these men seem to have that they have traded their loyalty (and integrity many times) for power. When the time comes for them to step up and really be a biblical leader they realise they might lose power so they don't. The lack of care for people outside of one's own ministry is also really, really sad. It's not that hard to say "this person is not safe, this is why, please contact someone if you have been abused by him".
