True, this is very hard in the charismatic movement nowadays because we base our ministry structures on degrees of friendship and emotional support for one another. Thats like glueing a Jenga tower you cannot just remove one piece, every person becomes a stumbling block. Leaders fill their boards with unconditionally loyal people (often less spiritually mature, codependent or close buddies, needing the friendship for ministry scale and affiliations) just to feel unified and it helps them when dealing with evil stuff. But it makes biblical eldership with impartial decisions, putting in consequence regardless of relational consequence.

Just consider the advocates and the unreal cost it has for their entire testimony, background and network.

You may want to consider a good Christian counselor to help deal with the cult-like brain washing they experienced. I am a Spirit-Filled Christian whose seen this before. IHOP applies techniques to gain influence over children by destroying their trust of their parents as step 1.

It likely won’t explain specific transactions like this, but it should show larger donors and affiliated entities which could help connect the dots. Otherwise, the best source to use would be their financial statements, which are internal and non public so that will be hard to do unless those are made public somehow.

I looked up financial records for IHOP, and I think it's good to note that, while it looks like they paid their staff a regular salary, that they can hide extra funds in other places; and that they make more money off of book/cd sales, and raise their own support on top of that. I'd like to know where Mike got the money to fund these girls apartments, trips, clothes, etc. Was is ministry money- or was Mike paying out of pocket? Does Diane hold the records? That might explain how much she actually knew about it.
