It's an update! They aren't pretending to give new information, they're merely letting people know that they're still working on it, and what has been done recently. I think it's just a wise thing for right now. But I think it's good that they are making sure also that they are not saying guilt until I full independent investigation looks into it. Even if you're pretty sure they are guilty, you have to do the right thing by having an independent investigation.

1 Timothy 5:19 keeps pressing on me. The allegations are serious and for them to remain silent & not come forward puts to question their validity. I can’t imagine such heavy accusations coming against anyone making comments and them being ok with no one stepping forward to show the evidence. One of the so called 8 accused has already publicly said this is false she never was harassed. There’s definitely more to this than what seems apparent. I am open to believing there are real true victims here, but scripture even says to bring the evidence

Outside investigator has been named in previous. I do not remember the name, but if you will go back through past posts, you will find it. There is no lack of transparency on this.

IHOP employed Lathrop GPM as their "independent " investigator but in any of these announcements, they always leave out that the victim(s) lawyers have already stated why this isn't an appropriate law firm to handle this case. Apparently Lathrop is a defense law firm that works for religious and corporate institutions to help them handle allegations - which isn't a truly unbiased investigator to use in this scenario. You can find a fuller explanation in the statement on Boz Law's website in their News section from Dec 16, 2023. I'm not sure why IHOP isn't taking this into account in their selection...but it does make me doubt that they are truly interested in an independent investigation.

When you make an accusation, you can not strong arm the accused into obeying your commands. They should not be dictating their course of action, then saying, "No, not like that. Nope, not like that.
