I think maybe we in the DR fandom use the term "good TV" sometimes as a euphemism for cringey or sometimes nasty behaviour. i just saw Merrie and Sigourney arguing. just like Bitter Betty said, sometimes people argue and there isn’t any bigoted intention thrown in there. what does bother me is how so many white women and white queens are jumping on Merrie and calling her a misogynist. i think they just didn’t get along initially, because Sigourney kept up that “not for free” business. tqueens from nyc/brooklyn tend to say what they mean without mincing words so it’s easy to see why they didn’t agree with one another. but i can’t get behind the claim of misogyny. it’s one of those scenarios where it’s playing as though a black man raised his voice and therefore he’s a threat to any white woman in the room. i just don’t feel as though people can judge Merrie in this scenario with some preconceived motions about what happens when black speak loudly. not only that, but Astrud had several choice words for Sigourney… but the misogyny claims only started stirring when she was arguing with a black contestant.

Elephant in the room, Merrie looked a mess again, just flat out, both episodes she was the worst, I'm sorry but being the loudest in the room shouldn't save you if you don't deliver.
