I enjoy how much Dicecheck can feel like just a normal game you'd see at a gameshop, I think it better sets expectations for new players imo. "My model is unpainted, eat my ass" is pretty common "X looks like Y, dont worry about it" might genuinely be one of the most common things you'll hear, this time thats not a joke thats just the reality of 40k

Bricky almost had a fully painted army, and then he just had to bring an unpainted Lord Solar.

Bricky's hunter killer missiles do ABSOLUTLY NOTHING is the most relatable thing I've ever seen as a Guard player myself. Even the two that got through were both saved on sixes of course lol!

For Dameki or any other Tau players. I was running my Breachers the exact same way. Cadre, 2 gun drones, guardian drone, markerlight drone. But someone just pointed out to me that breachers have the markerlight keyword already and the gun drone has assault key word meaning they are eligible to shoot even after advancing. So you literally get 0 benefit from the markerlight drone and can swap it out for another gun drone. Just a weird thing to point out to me, hope it helps someone!

Production value is getting there, and it's absolutely great to see! Ngl some episodes have been rough, but this one was very clean, sounded nice and looked nice. Keep up the great work! Edit : a quick recap of what happened in movement phase would be nice

Hey guys nice vid :) Dunno if you are using the new rules if so Dameki fudged up a few things : - Cannot guide after shooting because with the new dataslate it specifies that shooting renders you ineligible to shoot (page 5 of the commentary rules) - Breachers reroll wounds if targeting units on objectives Does not change the fact that it was a blast to watch tho!!!

Hey guys I just wanna let you know it's really hard to keep track of where units are and what the boardstate is when I watch these videos. Maybe it would help if you pointed out where everything was after deployment

Fun battle report played in the right spirit.. The new rules commentary that came out with the balance dataslate (probably after you filmed this battle report) has ended the chain observing. If you have ranged weapons you are not eligible to shoot till your next turn once you shoot. Tau was forgetting that breachers (including the joined cadre fireblade) reroll to wound against a target on an objective. Would have meant the guard infantry in the middle would have died a turn earlier, but it wouldn't have made much of a difference to the game.

T'au is way too reliant on alpha strike to put 2/3rd of your army off the board for so long. Add to that going second and it was basically feeding one little bite of cannon fodder after another to a full 2000 pts guard army

Tau plasma has always been 'higher tech' than human plasma. Back when the Tau were introduced there was no overcharging, any 1 to hit with a plasma weapon overheated. Plasma was universally S7, except Eldar Starcannons and Tau plasma rifles were S6 but didn't overheat. There was a blurb in the Tau codex talking about how they COULD overcharge their plasma, but the Tau actually care about the lives of their soldiers.

Tip for using Farsight: Rapid Regress with stealth drones or for 1 cp somewhere safe, then move into 9 inch range for his buffs.

11:37 Daring Recon Abylity of Scout sentinel is At "the start of your Shooting phase" so any Sentinel on the battlefield must use Daring Recon before shooting. ( so they can use re-roll one for them self ) Brick first take a shoot and then use ability on hitted targhet ( probably get confused with similar but different rules covered on other datasheets)

I'm new to warhammer and haven't translated all the rules to my language, but I love the tabletop and all the stuff at Dice Check. I decided to start with orks and I've got a stupid question. Can I make a list of only boomdakka snazzwagons? I think it would be fun, but rules are rules

The reason you can't daisy chain FTGG is that both units (the one you're shooting with and the one spotting for it) has to be eligible to shoot. If the spotter has already been guided that means it has already shot, and so it can't also be a spotter.

Since this is an old episode lets get to the issues that came before the dataslate: 1) there is no rules permission that allow Farsight and another commander to join the same unit. 2) Why was their not another crisis suit used for the unit since you have to pay for the 6? Not enough models floating around?

The Sentinel can scout any unit it can see within 18". You don't need to shoot on it. Also you have to do it in the beginning of the shooting phase. I think this confusion came up because of the "Fields of Fire" strategem, for which you do have to shoot. Also: Militarum Multi Laser, rly???

I feel horribly betrayed by tenth edition, and late ninth. It's hard to watch these.

Since the Tigershark's base size is larger than 6", when it comes in on Round 2 ( Aircraft Rule ) it is not eligible to shoot until Round 3. Didn't catch if you guys covered this at all. Still love the Video! Looking forward to seeing more Tau on the Table. Did Dameki or you play Armored Core 6?

It's seems that they played the Tigershark wrong. It can only get BS 3+ and it won't be able to shoot turn 2, since it's base is larger then 6'' meaning that it can't be placed within 6'' inches from the table edge.

Given the current rules changes, you are no longer eligible to shoot, as of 7th + the latest rules commentary.

Huh. For one, I always thought DK was much shorter, with a higher voice, and painted nails. For the other, I always thought it was spelled "Orkinate": Today is a day of odd learning.

So many things wrong about the rules, no more than a quarter of your army can start in reserves, no attached unit can have more than one leader, you are no longer eligible to shoot if you have shot, you cant shoot with markerlights then be a observer unit, the interpretation is wrong. Bricky is amazing, Dameki needs to be sent to the imperial re-education camp to learn the rules.
