I am most certain he has his say on any item he varies with in the composition of the Gvt’s speech submitted. It is after all the proposals of the head of Government and not of the Opposition. The Monarch is Head of State and even where not without checks and cautions whatever his feelings on matters, he is dealing with the rightful head of government elected in law…so the Monarch cannot oppose but can modify and even object. He must be fully aware of the credits and failings of the present government and must be feeling - wondering- how he might make matters better - easier - for the government to win its way back into public favour. All very delicate.

I got through about seven minutes of it, the actual speech, not the palaver at the beginning, and I couldn’t sit through it. He sounded very dour and uninspired. I know that’s Charles anyway, but obviously he didn’t like this speech and reading it or forced to read somebody else’s words it’s just trolling at this point. You really need a king speech anymore.

The trouble is public institutions and private have both waste and haste. Waste in paperwork, in those working being paid large sums for meeting or little work. Haste in that worker shortages cannot get paid extra time so it’s methodological approach that’s needed and time.

To be true as long as the process for North Sea energy is eased they won’t do much renewables but it will relieve localised burdens as currently we import more energy then export but greater efficiency through infrastructure and renewables is needed

I note and not without relief, positivity, what else ‘indulgence’?…that often my feelings begin with a certain doubt and even worse, negative anti feeling towards KC…not certain why…possibly that he’s had “a good life”, then like today, I see the Man, doing Duty, his Duty, conforming to that which is expected of him, his role, as we all do or ought to do with our roles in all our lives…and to the end I finish with a much different feeling…gone are the vague ideas bordering on the negative, the King of our day has fulfilled his role with expected dignity and earnestness…showing both majesty and respect and feeling for us all. With good heart do I say: God save the King!

What an utter waste of time, 30 minutes of aristocratic, dip, shit, laughing and chattering. Charles didn’t come in till halfway through. I expected the king, speech, encapsulated, none of the crap before, and after. Thank goodness I watched on KZfaq and I could put playback at full speed, and then got bored with that and just Swipe through until I got to Chaz. If it was live TV you couldn’t do that years ago.
