A lot of scholars say that the witness of 2 women is equal to 1 man in financial situations only in societies where women don't know much about finance. But in a society (like the west) where women understand finance because they work, then the ayah in surah al-baqarah doesn't apply.

If you are a self respecting then you should leave your religion Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri: Once Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) went out to the Musalla (to offer the prayer) of `Id-al-Adha or Al-Fitr prayer. Then he passed by the women and said, "O women! Give alms, as I have seen that the majority of the dwellers of Hell-fire were you (women)." They asked, "Why is it so, O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ?" He replied, "You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you. A cautious sensible man could be led astray by some of you." The women asked, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! What is deficient in our intelligence and religion?" He said, "Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?" They replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her intelligence. Isn't it true that a woman can neither pray nor fast during her menses?" The women replied in the affirmative. He said, "This is the deficiency in her religion." Sahih al-Bukhari 304Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri: Once Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) went out to the Musalla (to offer the prayer) of `Id-al-Adha or Al-Fitr prayer. @@taqiyyamevajayate2857 Allah gave you Quran . But didnt give you intellect. You should not just blindly read the lines and follow it as such . Khadijah r.a was a wealthy business woman. she is also one of the 4 women who were given the glad tidings of jannah. What about Malika Bilqis in the Quran who was an Empress? She is also praised by Allah in the Quran. Refrain from slandering Allah's religion, choose your scholars wisely. Women's role is being a slave to Allah just like men, and getting educated is a duty upon each slave of Allah. Men and women are indeed different and have different duties, but nowhere in Islam does it say women cant leave the house without a man, women's role is producing children etc. You are misinforming people regarding Allah's religion and perhaps causing them to be led astray. Millions of people can see your comment. Please be mindful of your power. Assalamu alaikum.

Women were coming from a position of a lack of education and isolation at home. Islam came and gave them more rights and encouraged education of women. A woman’s mind id deficient…until she gets an education. A woman’s testimony if half that of a man’s because she had no experience in the world and may not understand what she was seeing. It was a realistic evaluation for the time. It is only in financial matters. Cause Aisha(RA) a woman and wife of Holy Prophet(PBUH) had narrated almost 2210 hadiths which is second most. Those hadith don't need additional testimonies to be called authentic

Men are burdened and given responsibility by God to handle the financial affairs and protect their women, love them, and take care of them. To the people who have a problem with understanding this Hadith , here's the official explanation. Please read the entire thing before jumping to criticism. Answer: Praise be to Allah. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “I have not seen any lacking in reason and religious commitment but (at the same time) more able to rob the wisdom of the wise, except one of you [women].” They said: How are we lacking in religious commitment and reason, O Messenger of Allaah? He said: “Is not the testimony of a woman like half the testimony of a man?” They said: Yes. He said: “That is how she is lacking in reason. And when she menstruates, does she not refrain from praying and fasting?” They said: Yes. He said: “That is how she is lacking in religious commitment.” So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) explained that her lacking in reason refers to her weak memory, and that her testimony must be supported by the testimony of another woman, in order to confirm the testimony, because she may forget, and add something to or take something away from her testimony, as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And get two witnesses out of your own men. And if there are not two men (available), then a man and two women, such as you agree for witnesses, so that if one of them (two women) errs, the other can remind her” [al-Baqarah 2:282]. With regard to her lacking in religious commitment, that is because when she is menstruating or bleeding following childbirth, she does not pray or fast, and she does not make up the missed prayers, so this is lacking in religious commitment. But this lacking is not something for which she is called to account or blamed, rather it is something that happens by the will of Allaah; for He is the One Who has prescribed that out of kindness towards her and so as to make things easier for her, because if she were to fast during menses and nifaas, that would harm her. By His mercy Allaah has prescribed that she should not fast at the time of menses and nifaas, and she should make it up after that. With regard to prayer, at the time of menses she is unable to purify herself, so by His mercy Allaah has prescribed that she should not pray, and the same applies to nifaas, and He has not prescribed that she should make it up, because making it up would be very difficult, as prayers are offered five times a day, and menses may last for several days, seven or eight or more, and nifaas may last as long as forty days. So by His mercy and kindness towards her, Allaah has waived the duty of offering and making up prayers. This does not mean that her reason is lacking entirely, or that her religious commitment is lacking entirely, rather the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) explained that the lack in her reasoning has to do with what may happen of her testimony not being accurate, and the lack in her religious commitment has to do with what may happen of her missing prayers and fasts at the time of menses and nifaas. But that does not imply that she is less than a man in everything, or that a man is better than her in everything. Yes, the male gender is superior to the female gender in general, for many reasons, as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allaah has made one of them to excel the other, and because they spend (to support them) from their means” [al-Nisa’ 4:34]. But a woman may sometimes surpass a man in many things. How often has a woman surpassed men in her reason, religious commitment and memory. What is narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) with regard to the female gender being inferior to the male gender in reason and religious commitment is from this point of view, which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) explained. A woman may do a great deal of righteous deeds and thus surpass many men in her righteous deeds, fear of Allaah and status in the Hereafter. She may have a great deal of interest in some matters and thus able to give proper testimony, better than that of some men in some issues in which she has an interest. She may strive in memorization and understanding these issues, thus becoming a reference point with regard to Islamic history and many other things. This is clear to anyone who studies the state of women at the time of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and after that. Thus it is clear that this lack does not mean that women cannot be relied on in narration (of hadeeth etc) or in giving testimony, if it is supported by another woman. It also does not mean that she does not fear Allaah or that she cannot be among the best of Allaah’s slave and the best of the female slaves of Allaah, if she adheres strictly to Islam. Although fasting is waived for her at the time of menses and nifaas, she has to make it up, and even prayer is waived in her case, but she does not have to make it up. This does not imply that she is lacking in all things when it comes to fearing Allaah, obeying His commands and becoming well-versed in matters that are of interest to her. It is a lack that is specific to reason and religious commitment, in the way that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) explained. So the believer should not accuse her of being lacking in all things, or of being weak in religious commitment in all aspects, rather it is a specific type of lacking that has to do with her religious commitment and reason, which has to do with accuracy of testimony and so on. So she should be treated fairly and the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) should be interpreted in the best possible manner. And Allaah knows best. In BUSINESS matters only...... If 1 man and 1 woman both agree - then there is NO NEED for the 2nd woman. But if the man and the woman disagree, then the 2nd woman's testimony will be taken into account and she could overule the man's testimony or the 1st woman. In other much more important matters, we always rely on the testimony of 1 woman alone such as a midwife or a female judge giving rulings or female Doctors / translators / advisors etc etc or as the speaker says female hadith scholars teaching men the religion of Islam.

@tiger-sama1336 This has nothing to do with emotions, it's just that 1400 years ago women were not educated, they were confined to their homes, they had no right to property, and they were kept far from the matters of finance. Allah(saw) at that time asked the men to accept the women as witness, when normally they wouldn't have taked even 100 women witnesses, much less 1 or 2. So don't answer everything in terms of emotion that too as if it's a bad thing. Someone deviod of emotion is called as a psychopath.

What about those few women who will still be involved and be successful in business. Will their testimony still be considered half of a man? And then the second point is, in societies like western society where women are much more involved in jobs and business, does this law become irrelevant?

Are you a business man? Have you ever done a business where there is contracts to be read and singed with financial repercussions? If not, you will not understand. If you have, then you should easily understand that when dealing with money, business and contracts and how intimidating this process can be especially if you are out of your element. Thus this process is to protect and to insure that a women would not be bullied or pressured by being nervous in signing something not in her best interest. The second women is more added support. If you did public speaking and you got nervous that you forgot what you are talking about, having friends around will always ease the process. It’s not becaus you are less intelligent or inferior. Again this is only for business transactions, if a female judge or doctor testimony is equal to a mans one.

Rez Please because ,in Islam if the woman has a job and get salary ,she don't have to spend this money on her house and her husband has no right to take it or use it or ask her to spend it on the house or the children . That money is totally hers . On the other hand ,the man was ordered to spend money on his house and his wife and it is a must for him to do so by the Islamic laws . For example ,if a man and his wife goes out on a dinner , they don't share the bill ,the husband has to pay it . Also when in case of divorce, if the husband has given his wife whatever presents ,money , a property that he put her name on , he also don't have the right to take any of these . Read Ayah no 20 in surat An-Nisa' (which translates in arabic as Women ) "If you desire to replace a wife with another and you have given the former ˹even˺ a stack of gold ˹as a dowry˺, do not take any of it back. Would you ˹still˺ take it unjustly and very sinfully? -Sura An-Nisa', Ayah 20

How Did Allah Become God? Or what if Abdul Uzza was his father? “Uzza huakhbar!” And so that’s how the idol known as Allah became the God of Muhammad and Islam. Even though Allah never actually spoke even one word of the Quran to him, Muhammad conceived the idea that the revelations were coming from this Allah. He convinced himself and persuaded those around him of this claim that his words were the words of Allah. What was the reaction of his tribes people? They were understandably upset because this son of Abdullah was undermining their deities in favor of his father’s deity! So when Muhammad begins to preach Allah publicly as the “one god” in Mecca, he is met with skepticism, and he is accused of being a con-man. So they wonder that a Warner has come to them from among themselves! and the Unbelievers say, “This is a sorcerer telling lies! “Has he made the gods (all) into one Allah? ……”We never heard (the like) of this among the people of these latter days: this is nothing but a made-up tale!” (Sura 38:4-6) One of Muhammad’s sternest critics was his own uncle, Abu Lahab. To Abu Lahab, his nephew, Muhammad, who used to bow down to the idols of the Quraysh together with him, had now become a traitor of his own people! There is one special reason why Abu Lahab was especially enraged by Muhammad. You see, Abu Lahab’s real name was Abd-al-Uzza! Servant of Uzza. Abu Lahab was incensed that Muhammad was ridiculing his god while promoting his father’s god! Uzza huakhbar! My beloved Brothers and sister, Jesus Christ is the exclusive path to salvation and eternal life. The Bible clearly states that through His sacrifice and resurrection, He bridges the gap between humanity and God. Believing in Jesus and accepting Him as Savior is the only way to experience the fullness of God's love and the promise of heaven. John 14:6 - "Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" Acts 4:12 - "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved." 1 Timothy 2:5 - "For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus." John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

The Quran says that you must have multiple witnesses, 4 in the most serious of claims as this video admits. The Bible says by at least 2 or 3 witnesses shall every word be confirmed. The most serious claim is saying you have the word of God! The Quran is the words of but one man, that being Mohammed. The Gospels of Jesus are the words of 4 men. Not only does this meet the Bible’s requirement of 2 or 3 witnesses, but also the Quran’s requirement of 4 witnesses. Furthermore, the Bible has the words of over 30 men, written in 3 different languages, across more than 1,000 years of time which was preserved for 3,000 years, and it is many times larger than the Quran. Do you believe in the one witness that Islam has, Mohammed, or are you ready to accept the truth by the four different witnesses that Jesus is God and Savior?
