Welcome to maiden flight of RC Airwolf Bell 222 GPS Helicopter. Under this beautiful airwolf shell, there is the all new FlyWing FW450 V3. it was very easy to convert my flywing FW450 V3 into this sweet airwolf helicopter. It flies a little heavy with 5000mAh 4S battery but there is still plenty of power and performance under the hood. Enjoy the video.

Hey Ali, I’m happy to announce that I finally secured my RTF Fly Wing 450 V3. I completed there survey and provided all my shipping information. And wanted to take this opportunity to thank u for all ur help in getting mine. I am a beginner / intermediate pilot that likes to fly scale and just looked at this video and the Airwolf fuselage conversion that u did with the Fly Wing 450 V3 that I am soon to receive and all I can say is wow!!! U are the man Ali!!!! That is exactly what I dreamed of doing with mine when it arrived I just didn’t have a clue of where to begin? But this video definitely pointed me in the right direction. It not only looked amazing with the blinking directional light, but flew like a dream!!!! Can u please provide me with a link on where I can purchase EVERYTHING u obtained to make the conversion including the bigger battery??? I’m not very good at the technical aspect of modifying a heli, but I’m sure I can find someone in my flying club with the experience to do it for me? Hello Ali, it has been quite a long time, since I posted a comment to one of your videos. Thank You for publishing another Airwolf-related video. I remember how great your last Airwolf-related video was, many years ago, and I remember that you flew one that was (Approx.) the same size. I really enjoyed the TV show when it was originally aired, and the helicopter in some ways, was similar to the black Chevrolet Camaro Z28 that I ordered with the options that I wanted, back in 1983. The first time that I saw the show listed in the TV listings of the newspaper one Saturday morning, I had not heard of the show, and only the title was listed. I expected to see a new cartoon, but I was pleasantly surprised. A very close friend mentioned some things about having some friends that were into RC helicopters back then, but that they were very expensive and very difficult to fly. I decided to wait until later in life to explore this fantastic hobby. I also remember your video in which demonstrated the "walking the helicopter" technique, which was an enjoyable pastime of mine, which I discovered on my own, and it was so nice to see that other folks enjoyed doing so as well. Looking at the link it looks like the shell fits the v2 and maybe the v1 even easier then the v3. Nice for something to do with old helis too.

Hey Ali nice video i am one of the backers from their kickstarter campaign cant wait to get my V3. I really like the airwolf body i was curious if they would come with one for V3. The flashing lights are awesome do they come with the airwolf kit or are they separate if so do you have link for the lights.Also does the kit come with the airwolf tail fin.

yes kit comes with tail fin, but if you just use original tail fin is fine. less noisy too on tail rotor, lights you have to buy separate. bit.ly/3KxfM3l

Good review Ali, thanks 👍 I have the Huey already and it flies very well even with the added weight. I wonder if you could weigh the Huey, Bell 206 and the Airwolf to give us an idea of what the difference is weight wise? I plan to order an Airwolf body to convert a FW450L v2.5. Thanks in advance !

Hey Alishanmao. I have a quick tech question. I'm bench testing my tail motor and esc. If I move my left stick ( flight control stick) to the left and right . Is the tail motor suppose to gain rpm or start spinning? and slow or stop when it's center stick? Still dealing with my heli spinning out of control as soon as I move the left stick to turn.

probably your tail rotor either spinning in wrong direction or you have mounted the prop wrong direction. Check and fix

retracts and all the fancy cosmetics means, more parts, more money. i believe flywing is trying to keep it simple and affordable and thats why it like that. if people want retracts or fancy stuff, like guns, rockets, transparent windows, lights etc. they will have to add it themselves.

I had to push the whole assembly inside with a little force to line up the holes, and then use a longer screw to secure the tail using the original fin that has a whole for screw.

Do you know how to configure the ESC to disable the brake? I have a v2 and the motor does not just slow down naturally, its stops so hard that if I don't go full negative pitch it will swing the blades in to the side of the heli sometimes.

I do not have such issue with my ESC. maybe your esc got programmed wrong. normally flywing will never set ESC braking

Ali, I just did the Airwolf conversion with my V3 and it came out nice. But can u please explain how to turn up the head speed to compensate the added weight. I have no clue.

Congrats and have fun. There is a slider at the bottom on parameters screen that can set head speed. currently it might be set on 70 or 75. you can increase it.

it can, but you do not want to do that with such heavy fuselage. do it at your own risk LOL
