BJP is the only Govt which has worked for NE and making it part of mainstream... AFSPA is there for a purpose and due to certain conditions. BJP removed AFSPA from major parts of NE when situation improved. When things get back to normal in JK AFSPA will be removed.

You underestimate Swapan. Swapan was the lone voice for the right wing when the likes of Arnab Goswami were cosying up to the powers that be. I have heard him bluntly stating his views to the world media at Mother Theresa's funeral. How they had deified the Mother because of her European and totally ignored the Indian saints like Babha Amte. I am no fan of the Right and assiduously avoid reading columns of those sporting an extremist ideology on either side. But i have made an exception for Swapan because of his consistency, logic and clarity. His only drawback is strained voice. Otherwise he is more than qualified to take on Sasi, fellow Stephanian.
