Involve more private players like L&T ..... Goa shipyard , Cochin shipyard and mazagon dock shipyard alone can't do it . L&T invested more in ship building..but orders given to them is low ..... Make strong Indian Navy too!! Coz future warfare will be naval and airforce and space warfare ..... How easy is it to shoot down a drone? $3 billion for a mere 30 aircraft - which are SLOW and easy to spot and shoot down. Instead, fighters with supercruise at Mach 1.3 or more for air-air weapon range will be better against a huge Chinese air force. The Chinese will have highly powerful S-400 air defense systems that shot down over 500 aircraft and several drones. So costly Predator drones could be taken down from ranges over 300km away. Really a poor buy given Chinese sophisticated radar and long range missiles.
