For the people saying "India don't have beauty standard" India do have beauty standard Ex: fair skin If you don't have fair skin people will consider you as ugly in India,that's why india is 2nd most racist country I am also indian and I have to accept india do have beauty standard which is bad so we need to change our society❤

In north india they dont consider you ugly if you have brown skin. Actully nvm i dont think i should say anything because i dont really have much experience since my skin isn't that tanned/dark but it is not pale/fair either

Waht i find realy ironic is.. So many girls at my school want tanned skin i met girls after 2 week break time and they were darker than me, ok im dont have dark skin or light skin its kind of in between but yeah they were even darker then me and im like " why yall wanna be tanned" and they said that its pretty and hot and my friend is pale but after break she was darker and more orange then me and still wanted to be darker im like" GIRL YOURE ALREADY TANNED" and she just said " idc i want to be DARKER as dark as possible"

The only beauty standard exist in south Asia is "IF YOU'RE FAIR THAN YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL" and even when the editor is is from south India where mostly people are kind of dark skinned but still they want at least a bit fair and this proves that in south Asia "IF YOU'RE FAIR THAN YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL" doesn't matter you match other standers or not 😂

Never knew India had beauty standards. Here, old people specially those of twentieth century didn't consider black as good skin colour, they criticise it as that's what they learnt from two hundred years of colonial period. That's what white people taught them. Before the colonial period, the colour named *gehua* that is tan skin colour was considered best and every skin colour was best. But thankfully, today's generation like me and other youngsters, they understand that every skin colour is Beautiful 😍 and we appreciate it. India is coming back to its original form 😊

its because of british colonisation. before that the description of epic beauty was lord krishna and his beautiful lotus eyes. we can drown in his ocean eyes. and he was black as a cloud. so there was no colorism before british.

Ok since when is double eyelids an Indian standard ...we didn't evn use the trerm before kpop was introduced Double eyelids are damn common in India in fact more than 90 percent have double eyelids U can't just make a random list Indian beauty standards are way more complex than that We never had these fixed facial features required to be pretty but you're facial features must suite eachother in good proportions and that's what is considered beauty and that's also what makes it hard to achieve it and also being taller than 5 feet is wrong it's being between 5'4 and 5'6 Coz average height varies for 5'2 to 5'4 in most of the subcontinent Also again not too fair was never a thing either it's just having tan free skin no one cares how fair u are unless it's abnormal

Actually I am from maharashtra and here also I haven't personally experienced mean behavior with the people which doesn't fit in this beuty standards Indian society is full of diversity and at least my parents did not teach me to judge people on the basis of appearance . Dont bring up any standards here ,,, there is nothing call 'beauty standards ' in india ,, if you say we north have means ,, then we south india didnt have any beauty standards ,, eg: a girl from china got an opportunity in aditya tv and we all accepted as her tamil south girl ,, we never hate any peoples,, like i dont know about past indua but now there is nothing called beauty standards,,, 'dont trust those indian kpopies said we india had beauty standards' if the beauty standards intered in inda and the whole indian school kids most of them become bullys , so stop

You probably from West, indians in general ( both man and women ) are suffering from genetics disorders ( caused during famines in British Empire ), most people haven't recovered from that So they're unable to achive their true physical potential however the indians born in west seemed to have recovered from their genetical damages so ofc they're going to look better then majority indians in india

What I love is that my dad's parents live in Hyderabad (Telangana) and I'm born in America, and I was supposed to like to go to a salon, and they told me I don't need any fixing because I already look dolled up. That honestly boosted my confidence because I would see videos like these, I mean I'm an American born Indian and only have two standards of this video. Well, my skin is sort of fair on my face and it's clear but like my legs, mainly knees, and arms are darker (my knees and elbows are a mess). Please never compare yourself with these videos because you're beautiful no matter what!

In india the main standards are be fair , have short face or round face , have slim small nose Far from what I expirence most indians see this, I have little big nose our family members always making meinsecure like the nose have to be slim, you're nose look like Brinjal.....
