In 2010, Malaysian players had to be driven in armoured vehicles into GBK,Jakarta. Indonesian fans did not respect Mslaysian national anthem. The same thing happened in 2011 during grand finale which was the final for football match in Sea Games held in Jakarta. Few years ago, Under 19 Malaysian players were pelted with bottles,stones when they defeated Indonesia in Indonesian home ground. Yet no one in Jokowi' s administration admonished them. I must say that Indonesian authority purposely creates an image that Malaysia is an enemy to Indoensia. And what better way than to to antagonise Malaysia in football match. Wham happened inMalang where hundred were dead is a tragedy waiting to happen. You reap what you sow.

It reminds me of the english football fans in the eigthies.. i lived in Parc des Princes Paris France. A match had been scheduled and the "english fans were coming" I was shocked to see the place i was living in an exceptional kind of "war state". Not a shop was open. Guards with weapons at each corner, trained dogs . Because at the previous match i was told they destroyed anything in that District. The queen paid the damages I call these fits of violence not sport passion but psychiatric disorder.

Moreover, according to a survivor (I watched it on local news), riot was also happened outside stadium and the gas was also launched there by the guard while thousand of people were trying to get out. Those fans are not innocent as well. Yes the police made a big mistake by using the tear gas. But if those fans didn’t act aggressively after their team lost. This tragedy could’ve been avoided

They should have been trained properly to deal with these incidents, because outbreaks at sports events happen globally but not all of them are handled as poorly as this. But I agree attendees need to also learn how act accordingly.
