Infected blood victims to be offered £100k in government compensation

Patients who were infected with HIV and hepatitis C are to receive £100,000 in government compensation.
However many are not alive today - it's thought around 2,400 people died as a result.

The Government is paying for that. What about the people who knowingly supplied the blood? Especially from those in at risk communities.

They bought the blood from private American companies. Warnings against the practice started as early as 1973

Pay for by the taxpayers they should get more what privet companies were involved? They should be held to account including any minister’s at the time

This is absolutely repugnant . I know of three young lads and their lovely mother , who prematurely lost their Dad / husband ! RIP Bob , who was such a charismatic man , and so missed 🙏🙏🙏 can’t believe this ! A disgrace !

Let's put that into perspective, 100k over 40+ years equates to roughly 2500 per year , which is roughly the payrise that successive governments have awarded themselves since the scandal began.
