I love seeing couples who “normalize” the big issues like addiction and infidelity in marriage in the Christian world. ❤❤❤ It’s not spoken about enough and when it is talked about it’s not done with nearly enough grace and love. You guys rock. Love the honesty and vulnerability!

I'm 30 minutes in and deep in tears! If my husband was still alive I would want THEM to be our counselors. If they did one on one for single/widows I'd want THEM to counsel me. Why... I know he could relate to me on the mental side which broke me hearing his story, and I know she would understand and relate to my life and stuff in my past. Together THEY ARE A DREAM TEAM TOP TO BOTTOM!!! Now on to the rest of the interview and more tears I'm sure.

This was absolutely eye opening. I so wish I could sit down with them. My husband has been drinking all his life and won't get help. We both are believers and I don't know how to move forward while the drinking continues. I have stuck with it because I believe everyone is redeemable and the hope that I have for what could be. These 2 are amazing

My husband and I are not religious, but the marital wisdom, logic, and humor from John and Ash was remarkable. Thank you for such insight.

It is so refreshing to come across y’all’s podcast because I have been hungry for realism and right now y’all, Elyse Myers and Meghan Trainor/Daryl Sabara are by far my favorites. Thank you for being real role models because it’s so nice to listen/watch others go through similar struggles and know that there’s light at the end of the tunnel. Often I feel alone and as an introvert it’s easier for me to turn to others online because sometimes you don’t have someone you can turn to. So thank you for what you’re both doing and I hope you keep doing it because your truth and willingness to not act like it’s always perfect is helping more than may realize. Here’s to being imperfect and workin on it❣️

Wow I am so sorry you had such a hard time in your marriage. I have been married almost 41 years and we have navigated our problems with God and each other and talked about things and been honest with each other, no affairs, no drugs, no drinking. And we still enjoy each other's company and have 2 grand kids now. Yes marriage takes work, but wow I can't even imagine going through everything this couple went through and survive this marriage. With God everything really is possible. I have had it very easy in my marriage, not perfect; but so easy compared to others. Yes we have gone through hard times for sure with some of our kids and with finances; but have persevered together with God. God bless you all. You will help so many people because of what you have gone through yourselves. Praise God. Shaun you are so right about most churches, the people that need help don't get it. It is so very sad and pathetic. They need love and guidance.

This was a great podcast on KZfaq. But on other platforms without th3 video and closed captioning I found it extremely difficult to hear your guests. It feels like the audio is all over the place. There are times it is very low and other times it is deafening. Is there anyway that when editing the audio could be evened out more. I really enjoy the content, just find it difficult to listen only. I drive an hour each way back and forth to work everyday and really enjoy listening to your podcasts. Your guests are always very interesting. Thank you for all you do!

The past and the future doesn't exist if you look at through the eyes of God. Our past is just that. You can't go back and change it and our future doesn't exist yet so we can't change it. We live one second at a time and it's in that one second we make the choice. Jesus covered our past under His blood on the cross and our hope is in what we do this moment, God will not step in and tell us to do or not do something. He was the first to tell us you have "FREE CHOICE". How many time have we all made plans for tomorrow, next week or a year down the road and something comes along and through a wrench in it and changes everything we had perfectly planned out. We can't see our future for a reason, if we could we wouldn't never learn lessons along our life.

Christ brings redemption. Two people (sinners) who come together in a unity of marriage cannot bring redemption. Christ death and resurrection has redeemed us!

There should be no coming back from infidelity. The partner who was cheated on needs to have more respect for themselves. Thats gross. Marriage is hard and you need to work through some serious stuff, but people really need to stop taking back their cheaters.

Partial birth abortion was something that did occur in the past. You can google this. The Supreme Court banned this practice.

This is the same couple that did a whole podcast on teen pregnancy and how it was going to be the most important thing ever and never once in the podcast did the couple acknowledge or give any advice to avoid teen pregnancy. In a time when their state is actively putting in pro forced birth laws. Incredibly dangerous and they’ve never been called out for it.
