With inflation running at a four-decade high, the Recession is now the ‘most likely outcome for the economy and I cannot imagine being a victim of circumstances. My portfolio suffered a big hit, holding it further won’t be any good. I've heard of people netting hundreds of thousands this red season. How can I ensure this?

The uncertainties accompanying this present market is more reasons I have my daily investment decisions guided by a portfolio-coach seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short at the same time, both employing profit-oriented strategy and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downtrends, coupled with the exclusive information/analysis, it's quite impossible not to outperform. Netted over $800k in return on investment, since using a coach for about a year.

Alright Peter shiff. I am a Avid listener and I am a UPS driver. Don't listen to everything on the news as truth. We do not make $170,000 as a package car driver. A feeder driver for UPS working 60 hours a week plus benefits might make 165 but for me working 30 years at UPS during covid of 2020 doing 60 hours a week for a full year only topped out at $120,000. So this raised that I got which I think is around $2.75 will maybe put me at around 130,000 this year if I worked 60 hours a week for a year. So it would be nice if you made a correction above the mainstream media which doesn't have a clue and tells lies out of it you know what

I was about to post a remark about the exaggeration, too, until I read your clear and honest remark. Thanks for setting things right. People will believe what they hear and read. Why make wild exaggerations? Let's not do that. An entry UPS driver under the new labor agreement will earn well under $100,000 INCLUDING all benefits.

Bottom line, there's always depression for some, and profit for others, it all starts from having the right mindset. That said, I've set asides $250k to invest for future, unfortunately I'm a complete noob.

Inflation is the hidden tax we pay for irresponsible government spending. They would never get the votes to pass such an increase, but this way they get to overspend without the fallout. Their still doing it right now. As the Fed tries to tamp down inflation, the government is busy spending and stimulating the economy by it's Green energy and infrastructure projects. The knife cuts both ways.

Right now, things appear odd. The US dollar is becoming less valuable due to inflation, but it is becoming more valuable when compared to other currencies and commodities such as gold and real estate. People are flocking to the dollar because they believe it is more secure. I'm concerned that rising inflation may cause my $420,000 in retirement savings to devalue. We don't have any other places to deposit our money.

5:30 no, they can’t. UPS being a union shop follows a strict seniority system that determines who can be drivers, so a person has to spend years toiling for not a whole lot more than minimum wage before they get that opportunity, much of that time part time. I worked at UPS for two years when I was out of high school, the main attraction for people working there is tuition assistance.

I wish Federal Express would make it mandatory for the UPS contractors to pay the drivers by the hour(the way Amazon & UPS pays their drivers) instead of running the package delivery drivers insane by ONLY paying them $150 - $170 per day !! On top of that there's NO benefits to being a driver for Federal Express(Ground Delivery). There's NO paid time off, there's NO paid vacation time, there's NO bonuses of any kind, there's NO insurance or health benefits in case a driver get's hurt lifting a package that weighs 147 lbs, there's NO retirement funds, there's NO 401k benefits. If you don't believe me, then ask ANY Federal Express(ground delivery) driver if they get paid by the hour or have paid vacation(PTO-paid time off) and the driver will look at you like your insane !! Peter I agree with almost everything you say, but rent prices are going down almost everywhere. The reason is that people are tapped out from rising costs and are sharing living space to make ends meet and people are renting out rooms in their house as well. This is causing rent prices to go down. A landlord can increase his rent but he can't prevent the renter from moving out to a cheaper location. As the CC noose tightens, more and more people will be cutting costs, which will cause rents to continue going down.

@@Rick-tk9dl Google is your friend. I'll help you. Type this into your search engine and hit enter "rent falling". Lots of interesting results. Rents go up when people have a lot to spend and they go down when they don't; like now. It's like gravity. The trend goes like this, if you can afford it, you get bigger, nicer, etc. If you can't afford it, cheaper, smaller, etc. Easy money gone - check Personal savings at an all time low - check Credit card debt at an all time high - check Credit card interest at 22% - check Students will soon have to start paying their student loans; so that money won't be going to Starbucks. Businesses will be shutting down. Loss of jobs means loss of mortgage payers = foreclosures. Another thing you might want to google, "tent cities" The vacancy rate is spiking and landlords are competing for tenants. Not to take away from what Peter is talking about. He is right about everything else. Rents were rising not too long ago, I think Peter hasn't realized that they flipped. Inflation is cutting people's bottom line! Cap rates on RE are shrinking. It is true that landlords costs are rising and normally they would pass that cost onto their tenant, but they also know that they can lose cash flow if they lose their tenant. Rents will continue to fall in most areas!

It's not 170k a year plus benefits. That's pay and benefits stop with the bs. Top pay in 5 years will be 49 an hour. How do you come up with 170k a year with that? Lmfao. What 16 hours a day 6 days a week. Peter needs to read the contract for himself.

Given the current economic difficulties that the country is experiencing in 2023, how can we enhance our earnings during this period of adjustment? I cannot let my $680k savings vanish after putting in so much effort to accumulate them.

Yes true, I have been in touch with a financial advisor. With an initial starting reserve of $80k, my advisor chooses the entry and exit commands for my portfolio, which has grown to approximately $550k.

There are a lot of independent advisors you might look into. But i work with NICOLE DESIREE SIMON and I have been working together for nearly four years, and she is excellent. You could proceed with her if she satisfies your discretion. I endorse her

Perhaps no subject is as important to mankind as the nature of money, which has been so neglected and misunderstood in both the popular and professional mind, to the great detriment of the intelligent and just operations of societies. If it wasn’t for politicians and central bankers finding it impossible to resist either using currency as a tool for economic management or simply as a source of funding government spending, the distinction between money, which evolved into gold and silver through market forces, and currency, always a creature of the state, it might not matter. But the British economist mathematician, John Maynard Keynes, quoting Lenin said: “There is no subtler, no surer means of overturning the existing basis of society than to debauch the currency. The process engages all the hidden forces of economic law on the side of destruction and does it in a manner which not one man in a million is able to diagnose.” Modern monetary economists define hyperinflation as any inflation rate above 50 percent per year. In the 1920s, Germany had inflation rates in the thousands of percent. By July 1922, the German mark fell to 300 marks for $1; in November it was at 9,000 to $1; by January 1923 it was at 49,000 to $1; by July 1923, it was at 1,100,000 to $1. It reached 2.5 trillion marks to $1 in mid-November 1923, varying from city to city. Inflation from 1913 to 2023 In 1913, gold was $20 per ounce, in 2023 it is $2000 per ounce, or a 9900% increase. In 1913, a barrel of crude oil was $0.95, in 2023 it is $80.6, or a 8384% increase. Ht u/nik7770

I worked with a magnificent, brilliant fellow driver, Basil Bronson. The last two years of his career, he was working 12 hour days, drawing Social Security and drawing the Teamster Pension. He was triple dipping! So figuring all of that roughly, wages: $100k, SS $25k, pension $60k + 401k and UPS stock------ over $200k easily! This was 2013-2014 and Basil was 72-73 yrs old at the time. He went down for a hip replacement surgery and wanted to come back but had complications and then he retired. Sadly, he passed away a year or two after his retirement. RIP Basil Bronson!!
