In February 2024, working with the Ministry of Health through the USAID DISCOVER-Health project, JSI was honored to be part of the historic launch of CAB-LA (a long-acting, iinjectable HIV prevention method) in Zambia. This made Zambia the second country ever to offer CAB-LA outside of a study setting, following the United States. This landmark intervention provides a convenient option for HIV prevention, and most importantly, enhances choice for Zambians making personal health decisions.
