Thanks my friend! I like a lot your enthusiasm too. I saw you went out skating while it was freezing, with the family in the car 😉. Have a nice weekend

Wow, 6 wheels? I got 3 wheels trio skates and going to try it out tomorrow.

Great! And this 6 wheels frame is custom made in 2000. Max 50$ 😜. It's a different feeling. At that time, 80mm were the biggest wheels we could find for speed. But in the end, it wasn't faster that 5 wheels and didn't add much grip in the curves than 5x80.

Is the frame long enough it gives you "Frontseat"/"Backseat" like you would say about skis?

Not really. It remains quite short. From wheel 1 to wheel 6, you have a length of 405mm of contact with the ground. We did it ourself in early 2000 for downhill. At that time, max size wheels was... 80mm! So we thought we could have more grip in the curves, more braking power with parallel slide, and thus more speed overall. But in reality, it works only if the surface of the road is as flat as a mirror, like in my video. If it is not, you lose contact of the road with 1, 2 or more wheels. With a 5WD or 4WD setup, the polyurethane can more easily adapt to the irregularities of the road and in the end you have more grip (especially with my gold standard setup for downhill: 5x84mm!). But it remains that these 6x80mm are nice to ride!

These are sliding gloves initially designed for longboarders 😉

would you reccomend these frames?

@@terrablader In reality, we did these ourselves for like 50$ in... 2000. At that time, maybe you remember that the biggest wheels were... 80mm! So we supposed we could have more grip in the curves, so more speed. But in reality, the best setup for technical downhills remain 5x84 or 5x90. Because with 6 wheels, it's too long and if the road isn't perfectly flat, 1, 2 or more wheels lose contact with the ground. With 5 wheels, the wheels can deform and stay in contact with the ground more easily

@@skatingdoctor Very cool, did you see my monster skates? Believe it or not they do work, being up high is a bit of a think since you have to lower body weight allot. that was tradeoff for rock stable platform that and wieght. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fNVxgcKkmLDRfaM.htmlsi=0C2dPCKROhMfBIqi They also had hydraulic brake set for middle wheels for trails, the lines go up legs, back arms to poles grip
