Got these thinking they were the slightly larger Panfish floats kzfaq.infoUgkx_rJB7cli5f1ofPVGgn80S7Yj4vqwq0gU they work just fine. The smaller size lets me carry more in my tackle box, and the 3 color choices are nice for different lighting conditions, backgrounds, etc. They aren't the most durable things in the world. But, as cheap as they are, it's not heartbreaking to lose one or have to replace a worn one. The price on these fluctuates wildly, from about $9 to almost $16. So, time your buy accordingly.

Looks like a lot of fun, a little constructive criticism though, you’re breaking your line by thrashing your pole around. Let that fish fight the pole a little. You’re not gonna stop em when they want to go, let them tire theirselves out a little.

@@sbsoutdooraction3055 They are hooked in the mouth. Use that to your advantage, lay your rod over almost in the water and steer them away. Sometimes the fish will end up in the lumber yard and you can't help it. But you may be able to lay your rod over and steer the away. When I say this. Work with the fish and not against it.

Great video as always. I wasnt there so dont know the layout of the river but try not to horse them in and just fight them a little more if you can and you will land more. Also I hope you released the first fish as it was clearly foul hooked. You can see at 4:27 the bobber didn't go down but only moved slightly before setting the hook. Possibly her just swimming into your line or bait and after netting her you can see at 5:33 mark that it is hooked in the bottom of the jaw instead of inside the mouth.
@sbsoutdooraction3055
@sbsoutdooraction3055 Жыл бұрын
If you have ever float fished kings before you know that they are known for eating like blugil sometimes, small flicks or twitches in your float are often bites and short strikes. These are hard to pick up on camera bc of how subtle they are. This fish ate a bead, which was probably slide down after the fight, but I can promise you the hook was inside the mouth. Thanks for watching tho tight lines👍
@jasonrekker4328
@jasonrekker4328 Жыл бұрын
When float fishing steelhead we set the hook on irregularities in float behavior as the bite can be soft. Such as the float rising in the water, or straightening on the mend, indicating a take that lifts splitshot. I haven't fished kings much, but I wouldn't judge too much based on what the float did.

Im not hacking on you at all(we all have our own way of doing things) but omg you are crazy aggressive fighting those fish!i know there is a ton of snags you have to keep them out of.but most the break offs are when their in open water bud?switch to braided line on main,and 8lb braid(30lbs strength) for leader maybe?been fishing in Washington for 45 years,and I've just absolutely land more fish with braid.we tested mono vs braid on leader(see if bites were less) and didnt make any difference at all.a tad bit in summer, when there was crystal clear water (and was stealhead in low clear water)that day was only mono bites
@sbsoutdooraction3055
@sbsoutdooraction3055 Жыл бұрын
Hard to tell in the vid but there were logs running through the middle of the holes in multiple spots. I believe all but 1 or 2 in this vid were breaks from snags. I definitely wouldn’t be surprised about the mono vs braid thing tho. Seems like when they decided to eat they just do. Maybe something to consider for next season tight lines👍

The yellowish green color would tell me the fish has only been in the river for a week or two. So I honestly don't have an issue with him calling it, "chrome". Dude nice bobber downs but for the love of god just loosen your drag a little bit lol you don’t need to fight them with full force it increases the chance of breaking off or ripping the hook out exponentially..like what happened in the video multiple times

Many fish off camera were lost on looser drags. These fish were eating and running directly into the multiple log jams surrounding the hole. Thanks for watching 🤙🏻

Seeing you guys horse the fish and not letting them fight. Pisses me off. The fun of fishing is the fight. Plus your using so much force to horse the fish in that's why your snapping your line. Learn to let the fish fight. Loosen the drag, let them fight, have alot more fun.

90% of fish lost in this vid were to breaks in the timber, how would a loser drag help🤦🏻

should give them a little drag, you'll lose less.

Can’t figure out why your trying to man handle the fish and just haul it in like it’s hooked to 2” rope??

Try fighting the fish instead of powerhouse and horsing the fish in! it's a promise that your landing ratio will increase!!!
