Toby Gad is a multi Grammy award winning songwriter and producer. He has worked with many of the biggest superstars in the music industry producing award-winning hits. He has recently produced an album of his top songs called Piano Diaries. He invited Angelina to perform If I Were a Boy with him at piano. This song was originally made famous by Beyoncé in 2008, and has received over 600 million views. Most believe Angelina's version is much more intimate and emotional, and she has made it hers. Move over Beyoncé! It is more of a reimagining than a cover. Toby and Angelina also have been working on some original music, the first of which is a pre-release. Bad Valentine is a jazzy, soulful, and powerful song that is perfectly suited for Angelina's voice. I think it has great potential to be a hit! Toby Gad is very influential in the industry and this undoubtedly is a huge break for Angelina.

A very authentic video 📷 Toby told the story of the idea of the Song at the Life performance at the palladium before. Walking through the streets for a pizza 🍕 with BC Jean and talking about a mess up with a boy. They just went back to the studio for creating this emotional Song. Angelina let us feel it masterful. Her next Song Bad Valentine tells the same situation out of her own experience with more power. Hope it will be release soon 💘

A cover only in the sense that what Beyoncé made was a cover of the song written by BC Jean and Toby Gad, originally performed by Jean in 2008. Beyoncé's cover was that same year. In the 'piano one' video the pianist is Toby Gad .. the Piano Diaries are a celebration of his hit songs. He invited Angelina to England with him to perform .. this is the fourth version I have heard. I am not sure if it is really a cover when a singer is standing next to the composer as they jam to create a different version of the song.

Both these covers are glorious but I prefer the stripped down version in the church called Piano Diaries, which is also on Angelina's channel. That version lets her voice absolutely shine

I liked angelina singing If I were a boy, I didnt like the goofy rap stuff in the intro .Rap went out in the nineties man. Thats yesterday. Today folks like real music people can understand and feel like Angelina songs.Come on Curtis, Grow up will ya son ? You are stuck in a rut.
