Modular Prefab Homes are being built in more shapes and sizes than ever before as the industry attracts buyers from every segment of the housing market. A lot of people assume homes built offsite have have a certain look or have to be built in limited dimensions but that definitely isn't the case. In this video I look at a company finding a balance between building very cool modern prefab homes and price. I think they're hitting a sweet spot that will apply to a lot of people who want a cool home without blowing their budget completely out of the water. Watch and see some of the coolest prefab homes currently available.

Hi Kerry! I´m the architect who designed these models for Lofty Pods. I work with a great team, and these Ideas are inspired by Eric Harari, the developer, and leader of the company. I am flattered, thank you very much for your excellent review and comments! :)

Great house. Can we please bring one to the States to see it in action? I noticed seams, tho. The Antarctica had seams, it looked like, over the door and about a foot down from the ceiling, parallel to it. I didn't like that. We really need to see it. Anyone who ever shopped (or dated) online knows why. Lol

😢love them, every time i see not to expensive…. I rush to check them out.😢 more tears. These builders really do build an impressive home, you do an impressive job of showing them- I love your hair and how easy it is to visualize my sons, and grandkids on sundays covered in snacks visiting me. I am trying to find a prefabricated home, not mobile with lots of light to put on my lot in Prescott Arizona. Good weather most of the time, can be cold 🥶 but mostly beautiful. We will be about 10feet above a lovely little stream. There can be huge rushes of water, there are big trees, we will be 50 feet off highway 69 - so i want it all. Low cost, kit if possible, prefab, good looking, about 1000 to1200sq feet for us all to participate. Been looking at your channel since i found them, you are my expert. Oh, kids can make it up stairs, hard for me but I would what ever is good for the flock. Ill watch here in case you answer!

These homes are unique and beautiful. A little expensive, but as you said, worth the cost for their uniqueness and quality. That said, not a fan of exposed ductwork if it's not in a converted loft apartment. Feels out of place - especially in a new home on a spacious country lot. And the main level on their 2two-story homes should have a powder room. I'm not resonating with their 2 story designs for functionality, but I do love that lanai. I'd actually like to see a one level in a T shape - giving it more window space in the living area - perhaps adding a windowed dining area behind the kitchen. And perhaps a U shaped home from them as well. That said, I love their design esthetic. Great find! Thanks for thinking about cost reasonableness.

Something I saw a lot in Austin is a sliding trellis with slats angled and painted a contrasting color that you can slide to block the light and give you privacy. Usually it slides from the bedroom to the living room so you can move it as you retire for the evening. That or custom built sheer curtains like RH modern has would be beautiful.

Hello Terry, it’s me again Richard, I really like these homes they are extremely unique, a little pricey but not out of line with regards to affordability. My concern with any of the 30-40 homes that you have reviewed over the last 2 years is privacy concerns with all these large glass windows being used by different architects, that and security issues with so much glass? Maybe you should try reviewing automatic shades, drapes and shutters especially those designed for use in Prefabricated/affordable homes with lots of large glass windows? 😂? Hey seriously you done everything else so why not review one of the most important options a buyer might need? Window coverings?

Hey Kerry, I went to their site and they have a whole world of ADU style homes under their "resort" series. I don't see pricing, and have emailed them but haven't seen where they sell and deliver. Specifically I'm looking for Southeastern Idaho and San Diego, California. These resort models include round, half round, and a model called Sky loft that's 2-story, but has an angled roof suitable for high snow areas like Idaho, not the usual flat roof. Also they have a Calafate model that's nice and a modular flex kind that can be grouped. Any chance that you could do a video review of some of those resort models? They look like ADU material. Thanks! I'd appreciate your input, and info. on whether we can get these in the Western U.S.A.

Hey Terry, I really like the architecture, but I have to say that for prefab homes that look like they are mostly made of concrete, the price seems a bit highway robbery-ish. Sure, it's a new thought, but is it worth as much as what they want?? I don't see how. There's a company in England that's selling really nice 2bed, 2 bath homes for approximately $55,000 pounds starting price, FULLY FURNISHED!!!! Now, if there's one thing that we AND the Canadians can learn from that company, it's how not to be greedy. 😉

These houses are so expensive. I live in Tulsa, Ok. My house is 2,400 square feet, 3 car garage and in an expensive part of town. I paid 195,000. I love these modern houses but I would have to move down to 360 square feet house to get around this price I am used to. I have also lived in Texas and experienced the same. I lived in an amazing modern home I general contracted right on a gold course, 2,600 square feet with a garage for $200,000. These houses don’t even have garages. And, this is one of the more affordable. Wow! That’s why very few people will ever buy these.

I wouldn't suspect that. 8 billion of those all over Chicago. We have one. No problems 30 years now. This surface area is smaller, so I'd think this would be less of an issue. You DO see it often in big stadiums, because they're apparently not ready for the weight. But sense would dictate that you just heat the roof a tiny bit, and it'll stay melted. I'd think you could put the water hose system like they use to warm sidewalks.

@@windsofmarchjourneyperrytr2823 - I’ve seen a few flat roofs collapse, and if y’all get 3’ or so and you are not seeing it, they must build them stronger there than here. Note I’m talking simple flat non truss zero attic space prefab roofs, I’ve never seen a slightly arched roof fail either.

I wanted to look at the houses. Instead I got a talking head with flashes of the rooms. I know what the talking head looks like; what he sounds like, but not what the houses look like.

I see Kerry is really up on his videos on youtube. Heck, the architect who designed these pods responded to the video and Kerry never responded to him. Wow! Time to move on from this guy.

Very poor design. Looks like particle board for walls not a very attractive design not very functional. I'm sure they're great for single guys who just want to put something out in nature.

I like your content but the stupid movie clips might force me to unsubscribe. You don’t need them. It’s tired. Keep up the good content 👍🏼

Thumbs down for the 'almost profanity' ("what the .......") - tacky and unprofessional! Also how about more views of products and less of his inane talking. He will just have to think up other ways to almost use profanity.

Dude, narrate in background, not in front of camera .. just a suggestion. Make the product the star of the videos, not YOU.
