BMC has completed boring a 9.7km water tunnel in Mumbai, making it the second city in the world with 100km of water supply tunnels, following New York City.BMC has finished boring a 9.7km water tunnel from Amar Mahal to Parel via Wadala, making Mumbai only the second city in the world after New York to have 100km of water supply tunnels. 169km Length of Delaware aqueduct tunnel, part of the system that supplies water to New York City 100km Total length of Mumbai’s water supply tunnels Project’s aims Sufficient water supply at high pressure for 2 wards and parts of 2 more till 2061: F-North (Matunga-Wadala area) F-South (Parel)

The benefits of this project to the "tax-payer" of Mumbai & MMR is so much under-rated. It is after a hell-long time we're witnessing a visionary pioneering project indigenously executed by Govt & babudom. This is what should be politicized. What Opposition couldn't build since Independence, NDA built it in less than 1/6th time frame.

BMC was under NDA partners only during UPA regime also. And SS UBT which is projected to win BMC is actully now in INDIA alliance. Your logic has no validity

Bhakt like you can only be a keyboard warrior why don't you ask yourself a question what will be the use of these water storage if dam wasn't created during the time of UPA regime Also IIT, IIM AIMS,DRDO, ISRO dams, electrification, railways etc all these was created during the time of UPA but andhbhakt like you won't understand 😂😂

Great info and never know about this project. Glad you could uncover it. While this is being for Mumbai, it is required in all major cities in India and immidiately in metro cities.

Powertrain bhai aap Metro line 14 ke bara mai please awareness falaiye please Metro 12-14 ka kuch update nahi aya and government lag nahi rahi uske bara mai serious please raise questions about this 😢😢 People from Badlapur Ambernath don't even have city buses like KDMC-TMT-NMMT-VVMT People need metros and buses especially those who work at Shilpata-Dombivali-Ghansoli-bMumbai North Unke liya yeh metro Varrdan hogi Ik people are not expecting it to be having massive footfall but agar future ke liya dekha jaye badlapur-ambernath-katai-shilphata region is underdeveloped metro might boost Industrial-Corporate-Educational institutes to set up in that region So for future planning Metro lines 5-12-14 is very crucial We got updates regarding 5-12 But no one on the internet is mentioning line 14 recently

Absolutely required. SS UBT did not approve and since then it is on backtrack. Also Ive heard nevali Villagers are blocking the project. Powertrain I think lives in Ambernath too. So he shoukd raise the point.

असल मे हम पानी, बिजली, nature की कदर करना भूल गए है, तो हमे लगता है पूरे देश मे पानी supply को एक time पर देना चाहिए जिससे क्योंकि 24 घंटे पानी देने से पानी का mis use होता है जो अब सही नही है🌱🌱

why not do the same for overhead electric wires and all other cables in cities? it will stop interruption due to damage caused in the rainy season and all other interruptions. it will also release lot space for green cover and public, increase safety and city will looks more beautiful without ugly overhead wires.

Bhai understand your sentiment but Mumbai is a powerhouse of finance and financial capital of India. We should promote it as Crown Jewel of Corporate India. And if we are able to replicate development of Mumbai elsewhere in other cities, jara socho India ki GDP kaha hogi!! 🙏

@@Saurabh_Utter-Pradesh 🫡 got you brother. But you'll be surprised to see what Tier 3-4 cities are achieving in India. Just let the super highways get completed. You'll be astonished to see development in UP, Rajasthan and MP. Look at Chitrakoot belt, it's going to be defence corridor of India. Issue jobs ki nahi hai, issue skilled man power ki hai. My friend told me that India mein skilled machined operators, heavy machine drivers ke bhaari Kami hai. Infact mere uncle ek building contractor hai, unko skilled workers nahi mil rahe hai, because of all round construction taking place. Ab India mein, jo log labour hai, unke saath ek negative idea hai ki woh log chote hote hai, but a skilled master bricklayer earns in thousands of dollars in US. India mein skilled labour ka rate 1000-1500 Rs ho gaya hai per day. But yes, koi bhi apne bachhe ko woh job nahi lene dega.
