Even clarifying that you DON'T want AEW to fail isn't enough to keep them off, but to put it plainly, is Mercedes goes to AEW, she'll be just another name, like everyone else. Each big signing, even huge, main event names, like Flair, Edge, Saraya, and the Hardys, are now as irrelevant as can be. They might be hot, for a week or two, after a big debut, but cool off, in record time. I give the former Sasha Banks 3 competitive matches, before she's doing bad angles, putting Riho and friends over, and jobbing to bigger unknowns, while being a flunky, in a group or tag team. And that savage burial of Meltzer. It's a shame how far he's fallen. Love the show. Subscribed and looking forward to more.

I don't know if there is a good day - Monday at least gets in ahead of the week's TV shows, but if anything big happens on a weekend's PPV it's hard to write and refine a joke on that sort of deadline. There was a UK TV show back in the 80s (and maybe early 90s) called "Drop The Dead Donkey" which had an interesting approach, they'd have the main through story of the show written in advance, but leave space to sprinkle in topical jokes that were recorded right up the broadcast day. Not sure if it'spossible for Tooney to adopt something like that, but if he isn't familiar with the show, it might be something worth taking a look at (although the references are both dated and UK centric nowadays)

I think I'd die laughing if the ink isn't dry on the Mercedes Mone contract and she backs out... From a creative point of view, now would be a perfect time for her to go back to the WWE as a much needed ally for Bayley, and with Naomi re-signing there are stories all over there, but at the same time if Tony is blowing his dad's money again, I can't blame a wrestler for getting as much as they can. Not sure if any serious channel will do the analysis, but I'm somewhat convinced that the 'Forbidden Door' has been detrimental for every promotion who has worked with AEW. They've been asset stripped, or had their booking diminished...

I've been eyeing the hoodie but they don't have them in my size, I need to cut down some weight. I do have the renegade/paragon keychain and the N7 tumbler I ordered from the bioware store. I never blame anyone for getting a bag which seems the route Mercedes went or a person going somewhere they are comfortable which seems to be what Okada choose. While there have been some minimal improvements, I just don't see Mercedes helping that women's division much because TK is just not good at using them and I think she'll not be satisfied during her time there. I think AEW is a pit stop for her though and within a year, maybe 2 she'll head back to the WWE. And I think Okada is going to just be another dude in that company, and there just aren't a ton of interesting programs for him. Not looking forward to him facing Wheeler Yuta.

Are we ever going to have a conversation about the quiet way Tony Khan is monopolizing the indies? All the "partnerships" seem to massively benefit AEW over anyone they work with and they are just hording NJPW and AAA for all their best people. Maybe that's why TNA and them stopped working together, Scott and the crew saw the writing on the wall and got out. TK going on Impact tv and taking a shit on their product also probably didn't help.
