My first time in Medellin! I was really looking forward to visiting Medellin with it being one of the most up and coming cities on the planet right now, especially for digital nomads. I stayed in Los Patios hostel which is one of the best rated hostels on the planet! In this video, I give you a tour of the hostel (not even all of it!) and my first impressions of Medellin after wandering around for the day.

In that hostel on that very couch where i cried saying goodbye to my friends after a trip of a lifetime!! That hostel holds the biggest place in my heart so surreal to see it in your video ❤ enjoy that magical place!

🖐 Hi, I recommend these places in Medellin: 🇨🇴 1- the castle museum. 2- museum of modern art of medellin. 3- explore theme park aquarium. 4- arvi park (forest reserve) 5- park of lights 6- barefoot park. 7- graffiti by the escalators of the comuna 13. 8- medellin river parks. 9- interactive water museum. 10- for the rumba the lleras park in el poblado, the av 33 in laureles and the 70 street to the West of medellin. 11- Piedra del Peñol and Guatape Municipality. 12- municipalities of jardin, santa fe de antioquia, sabaneta, and envigado are beautiful.

@@jessejones8530 There are so many that it is common to see them everywhere, including Medellin is the only city in Latin America that has tourism even in the most marginalized and dangerous neighborhoods of the city, for example, the commune 13 is the most dangerous and marginalized sector of Medellin and It receives on average more than 1400 foreign tourists daily to get to know the public escalators and graffiti tour in that area, it is something unique in the world, the best thing is that day after day Medellin is positioned more and is one of the cities with the highest percentage annual growth in tourism of all America. Since the average growth of tourism globally is 5% Medellin has grown in tourism up to 25% annually, a few years ago Medellin grew up to 40% annually in tourism.

THE City I was born has changed a lot..!! Luckily for the good..For us who don't live there since long ago is very gratifying to see the positive change..and even more to see young generations from almost every corner of this planet to go and visit it...something almost unthinkable 15 years ago...A BIG THANK YOU to all of you vloggers for daring and showing Colombia to the world. 🤝👏👏

OMG! What an amazing hostel, all seems geared to the modern traveller. And having the cafe only a few steps away for an instant coffee fix really helps. Your videos always make me smile, keep them coming! And I loved the "I know you" remark from the friends you met on the way to dinner.

Capital of Antioquia province, a fertile region famous for its coffee plantations and its flower farms, for its orchids and butterflies, it is known as the City of Eternal Spring for its idyllic climate. Everywhere you turn there seem to be new things happening

Then try to find some people than can show you what medellin is, like a real immigrant or a local, so you can avoid the local tourist traps

Be careful in Medellin. People steal things from foreigners and there are many gangs. In Colombia are other safe places . Medellín is not an good option to visit. Medellín es una mierda.

Hi, I recommend you visit Medellin at the flower fair that takes place in the first week of August, it is spectacular and I also recommend December since Medellin has one of the best Christmas lights in Latin America, those are the 2 dates par excellence most recommended to fully enjoy the city.

That's the best so far I think the archatecture is very Spannish .. and the statues are really funny. It does look very modern in comparison to the other towns you have visited there ...you look like your really into it now... you defiantly know where to find the best places to stay in while your there ...The hostels are something else. This is a very small place in the centre of town. The rest is very much as crazy os the rest of medellin and yes this one of the most dangerous places in the city for a day time tourist and locals, unless you lose yourself in the barrios or comuna 13 ♡

What a great hostel !!! How have you found the age range in Columbia hostels so far ? As I am approaching my 30s ( nearly 28) I always worry I will be much older than most of the hostel goers in certain places ! Of course age doesn’t matter but it is nice to meet older people and not just 21/22 year olds haha x

Absolutely no worries about the age! I am 26 and still find myself often being one of the youngest! But normally somewhere in the middle. I've only met a handful of people below age 23, but even then, everyone is here for the same reason and for me, it doesn't make a difference whether someone is 20 or 40 😅

I think the main problem you'd have is just entering the countries in the first place, as many countries here (including Colombia) are quarantining most people for 2 weeks upon arrival. Best to stay put for the moment 😊

I am curious to know why do you feel different compared to other cities & why did you feel in Barcelona? I guess it's more organized the other Colombian cities because of the public transportation.

Exactly that! More organised, more modern, more clean, sidewalks paved properly, metro, western shops, cafes and restaurants...

Overrated and way overpriced hostel. I stayed there and 5 other hostels in Medellin about 5 months ago. Should have ac and breakfast included for the expensive price. Also, those bed fans are loud.

Excellent hostel, but Medellin has the problem that every people there are going to say you that they have the best of everything. As every city, it has good and bad things, but not everything is the best there. For example, I've known better hostels in Colombia that this one...
