Thank you so much! I have mostly the same laptop, (15 5000 series but a slightly different model); mine came with an HDD that died on me so I was replacing it with an SSD. When I got the screws out and it didn't just flop apart, I decided to look up a video just to make sure there wasn't a specific catch (or series of catches) that I had to release in a specific order so I didn't break the stupid thing (because with my luck, if I'd just pulled it open, there would've been and something would've broken, and it never would've gone back together right). Better safe than sorry. Thanks again for the helpful video!

thxs for the video...now big question...can you add extra ram to the inspiron 15 5000 ...i know you can get 16gb at the factory install, but if you start with 8gb then add extra if/when the need finally arises

this might be an odd question, but do they make frames that would fit the 9mm hard drive?

I just bought an Inspiration 15 laptop a week ago with a nvme drive. Is there space for another nvme drive or 2.5 ssd drive. what I want to do is have the original drive for windows 11 and the 2nd drive for linix mint.
