hello sir, id like to clarify that the footage in PRO mode, right out of the camera does not support FLOWSTATE STABILIZATION anymore??? and the basic mode only give normal stabilization? am i right??

My audio sucks now with the new firmware update using the rode wireless mic go. It was working fine on the previous firmware, have anyone else tested this? Am I missing any settings? The audio straight out sounds much better, which says a lot how bad it is

Insta support shared a video showing the adjustable audio gain in the cameras menu at various db settings but I could not see this on mine even though firmware matched what support told me so theyre trying to help

hi, in the new update some of the templates no longer work because they say they are only for insta360 one r. I have the one x and before I had been able to do it but not anymore. is there a way to go back with the version? Thank you !

Wow - I'm duly impressed by this massive update. I'll try using the webcam function in MS Teams as there might be another lockdown coming up at local schools.

This is one of the biggest updates I've seen for the Insta360 One R or any other 360 camera, with 14 new features added this month (2 of them are not from Insta360 directly)! This includes some features that I haven't seen in any other 360 camera.

Super impressive how quickly you jumped on top of this update and produced a fantastic video with lots of detail! Your tip on changing the mode in settings for USB webcam was key for me, as I couldn't get it to work by simply plugging it in. Not sure how to get the livestreaming stuff to work though. I see no options anywhere related to livestreaming in the app or on the camera. Any tips on that?

I need some help. When I go to the camera settings to change to the vivid settings, mine only shows Log on and off. I don’t get color settings at all. I double checked and I’m on the newest update. ***UPDATE*** this only works on the 4K mod / probably 1 inch as well. I was trying to change the setting with the 360 mod so that’s why I was experiencing issues.

I have the ONE X and the latest Studio app. No option to open in Final Cut when I have ONE X .insv files open so I assume that the ONE R .insv files enable that feature. I would think there would be a ONE R update to enable opening its files in FCPX. I want the ONE R but I have essential questions that, when asked of INSTA360, I just get quotes back from the FAQ that ignore the point of my questions. I do motorcycle videos (see TexasTwoLane.com) with my ONE X and a GoPro. The ONE X is mounted on my windscreen and the GoPro is mounted to my helmet. The GoPro on my helmet has got an audio adaptor and, plugged into the audio adaptor is a stereo splitter. Why, you ask? So that into one side of the stereo splitter I plug in a microphone mounted inside the chin of my helmet. The other side is a split out from the headphone jack of my Sena headset. The headset port carries all audio heard on the Sena but does NOT include the riders voice. That's why the separate mic in the helmet routed to the GoPro. Through that split-out I plug in the helmet speakers and the other side I have an attenuator going to the other side of that stereo splitter on the GoPro to bring the line-level of the Sena headset port down to mic level for recording on the GoPro. That way, on the GoPro video, its stereo audio track has my voice on one side while the other side has all audio that I hear in the helmet speakers. This is how I record the voices of anyone I'm communicating with through my Sena headset. I diagram all this on Ep 20 of my motorcycle videos which includes video and audio of that rig in use. Anyway, in post, with my voice and the audio from the Sena on different sides of a stereo recording, I can change the stereo recording to Dual Mono and individually adjust levels. MUCH easier than trying to ramp the video up and down many times when the two sources, one loud and one soft, are mixed. Finally, I would like true loop recording like the Sena 10c EVO has and not fake loop recording that the GoPro has. What the GoPro calls 'loop' recording is unusable in my opinion. Finally, my perfect action camera can be powered from an external source while recording. When I don't need to record the conversations of others, I typically ride with the Sena 10c EVO with its latest firmware and, when its set into Loop Recording mode and I have a large memory card in it, I can record video for hours when its plugged into the power port of my motorcycle. If you have the ONE R 1-inch, can you give me answers to any of these questions?

Great review of the new features. My main disappointment is that I was hoping that they will finally release the long awaited 3D 180vr mod that they promised with the release of the R model last year. Might you have any news or ideas about whether or when we might see this mod?

Is the FCPX only for MP4 files, and not for 360? I don't see where I can choose MP4 when shooting 360.

I love how you take the time to explain things. I need some help with my new One R. I'm a novice and I've never really been into photography of any kind. I'd love to become proficient at moto-vlogging and I'm willing to spend the money and take the necessary time to get good results. I've watched A TON of 360 content to get familiar with the new Twin Pack and everyone seems to take for granted that the "workflow" on this setup is NOT intuitive. I would always rather use my windows 10 desktop to edit, and yet the only editor I've been able to load my vids into is 360 Studio. I'd much rather learn on a more advanced platform like Resolve, but resolve doesn't see or recognize any of the .insv files at all. What am I doing wrong? 360 Studio will load them but the playback is awful and it resembles "stop action and I don't know why. It would've been helpful to know about the "u-disk" mode so that the desktop could directly read the microSD without removing it from the camera....but every tutorial I've seen makes the assumption that we need to use the phone app only. I, and maybe a few others would really find it helpful to get more UPDATED content from experts like you that take these items into account. Exporting from the camera, importing into an editor (resolve) and so on....just need a little guidance here... Thanks

In underwater photography, your reds are all gone by the time you are only 10 feet (3m) down. So any time you can add lost color to the original file it really helps in post whether stills or video. So this is a good thing. Now what they need to do next is offer a way to switch between video and stills while the camera is in the case... perhaps a double click on the on-off button. Then the R would really be useful underwater. Thanks for the updates... will get them on my cameras now.

I am thinking to get the One r to replace my One X but I am worried the new 360 camera will come out soon. The price is reduction indicates they want to get rid of the One r stock. What do you think? Suggestion?

Aquavision was meant to be used more for diving in the ocean where the white balance is heavily thrown off. Clear swimming pool shouldn't need the Aquavision as badly.

Fly Lapse is my new favorite feature. I won't be able to try it because it's so smokey it's a health hazard. The fact that you can create MP4 files straight out of the box is great, I've seen a lot of people complain about the insv. I personally think insv is a huge advantage, but the average user doesn't want to be bothered by that. So this will improve the reviews that people leave on Amazon.

How large is each file? Is there a gap between the files? Is there a gap after the 30 min limit? The One R records a continuous video to one file (or two files if 5.7k) for 30 mins. After 30 mins, it creates a new file and starts recording. There is a few seconds gap after the 30 min. recording. YOU DIDN'T ANSWER THE FILE SIZE?????

Honestly it’s a wow for 360cam and for 1inch Leica but LOTS OF PROBLEMS transferring 2min video or download video 30min it’s sucks !!! Now for the update stocks in 12% how many times try to restart and update again and again ..... waste of money

Not sure how your live streaming tests went, but mine didn't turn out overly impressive. The video was extremely laggy, like 1 or 2 frames per second :) Plus the audio was jumpy and not able to be understood. Maybe some of this depends on connection speed, phone processor power, etc. When you think about it, since the phone's wifi has to be connected to the camera, this means it has to use the cell phone's data in order to stream the video via rtmp or whatnot. This means you need a pretty good connection (upload speed) with a decent bitrate to produce any viewable content. I'll do another test later when I'm in a good signal area, but so far it seems like an unusable feature with my phone. Also, the reframe live option is DUMB. It only works in portrait mode rather than landscape. Even if I rotate the phone sideways to landscape, the Insta360 app isn't rotation aware, which is a major weakness. Most streaming websites are better suited to landscape content, not vertical cell phone stuff.
