I MUCH prefer this method of installing to the 'bundle everything in the centre and make it hard to troubleshoot' method

How do you go about introducing new Cat-6 cables, if you have already clustered the main existing braids? Can someone explain the process and how you would append the new cables without making a mess? And how is this done after main construction of the building is finished (ie. where do you open tiles and walls to run cables through)? Thanks.

Great video. Can I ask if you label each cable from the start and terminate at patch panel matching floor port 1 to patch panel port 1 !. Thank You.

I don't mark cables, it takes to long on a big job! I use the "Cable Identifier" ! I sell it on the wed site. Checkout the "Cable Identifier" video.

Thank you for uploading. I have a 12 port cat 6 panel. Do they expect me to be able to fit all 12 cat6 cables in that little gap between the end of the bracket and the panel? It seems like they intended to go in 6 from each side, but I'd prefer to have all my cables coming in from the top. I can't imagine anyone else going in from both sides on a 12 port install.

What's the part number of that wire ducting? Is that 1 unit that has slotted rails both outside and inside the rack?

The color codes for 568B differ in Rj-45 vs Patch panel ? WO - O - WG - B - WB - G - WBr - Br ( RJ 45 ) WB - B - WO - O - WG - G - WBr - Br (Patch Panel )

I think I understand your question. You always follow the color code that's printed on the patch panel or the RJ45 Jack. The thing you must keep in mind is that if you punch down one side (patch pan) 568B or 568A the other side (RJ45) must be match. If you mix them up you have a crossover and not a straight through. You need to have a straight through from a patch panel to the jack. The same goes with Patch cords. When you crimp / make a patch cord it must be the same pattern on both ends of the patch cord or you have a crossover cable. You don't need a color code to guide you for a patch panel or an RJ45 Jack. All the patch panels that we sell have the color code clearly marked on them. However to answer your question concerning color coding, pair one is the white blue / blue white. Pair two is white orange / orange white. Third pair is white green / green white. fourth pair is white brown / brown white. Hope this helps. It looks like you are trying to configure a modplug. Mod plugs have pattern that starts in the center. I have videos on mod plugs somewhere in on KZfaq. Thanks for watching.

What would happened if you only terminate port one and attach a patch cable from port one into a switch? I'm trying to terminate a patch panel at home but I soon as I finish terminating port one and then plug-in a patch cable from port one to the switch there is no connection. Am I doing some wrong? I'm following the pin out properly but still nothing

There are numerous things that can technically go wrong when punching down cable. Check your color code at the back of the patch panel check the color code with your jack make sure you're using the right patch cords and also check with your switch that it is programmed correctly.

And since I have no connection or anything with the first port terminated I dont want to mess with my other cables the way they are... So one of my questions is: do patch panels need to have more than 1 port terminated in order to function? I currently have 15 cables connected to my switch but I would like to install a patch panel between the devices and the switch but again I cant move on because I get no connection or anything on my first try on port 1. Thanks

You should have no problems if you punch down all the cables appropriately according to color code. Putting a cable in a patch panel and then patch cording it to is switch is the best way to handle cables. generally speaking all cables should be terminated in patch panels.

Until the cable you have to locate is hidden under all the other cables.
