Installing CRAZY BRIGHT LED Whip Lights Onto My Toyota Tacoma! - Nilight

In this video I will show you how I installed a pair of Nilight LED Whip Lights to my 3rd Gen Toyota Tacoma. With a little creativity, you can install these whip lights onto anything you want! These lights are EXTREMELY BRIGHT and have an endless supply of color & patterns to choose from.
In addition, I decided to add some adjustable whip light mounts to the bed of my Tacoma, allowing me the ability to retract and store my whip lights whenever I want. Below are some links to everything that I used in this video.

This can be mounted to stand 90 degrees? I like the concept!

Technically it could be. The bracket I used has 60* adjustment angles (I wish it was 45*)... so technically if you make a 30* offset, then 90* is possible 🤣 The only reason mine are angled is so I could lay them horizontal and store them onto my molle panels 😁

can you splice the wires into a 4 pin harness connector instead of splicing into the 7 pin wires?

Absolutely, you sure can. All you need is a source for ground and a source for power. 😁👍 I just wanted to show an example of how to wire them up in my video, but there are plenty of other ways you can do it.

Does your third break late still work? I installed a whip the same way and I think my third brake light stopped working after

My 3rd brake light is still working. If you wired everything correctly, I wouldn't think that the whip lights would affect the stock lights... It should get power and ground normally, as if you were actually using a trailer (with lights) that utilized the factory trailer connector... that's odd 🤔.

@@LevelUpMechanics thank you man, yeah it’s weird. I don’t think my whip effected my brake light, I just was just going down a list of things I thought could possibly make it stop working. Still haven’t figured it out😂 but appreciate the video for the whip light, it helped a lot

How or where did you put the switch that control the whip lights ?

I powered the whip lights by tapping into the trailer connector... so all I have to do is turn on my parking lights (and press the "power on" button on the remote control) if I want to use the whip lights 😁👍.

Wait so mine are Bluetooth and have a control , how can I have constant power so I have them on whenever as long as the truck is in can I still use the hitch plug?

Okay so I looked up the diagram for a proper look , so I can plug mine in in to the white wire for ground and also to the the black for the 12v battery so I can turn it on whenever as long at the truck is on correct?

I believe you can still use / tap into the hitch plug for your setup 😁👍.

@@LevelUpMechanics yes that’s what I was referring to sry , so there’s a wire labeled ( 12v power) I believe it’s black. I can just connect to that one and the white (in the hitch plug itself)
