It was in good shape but needed a new cartridge. Customer didn’t want to wait to order one so he bought a new faucet. 🤙🏼

If I used the deckplate do I still need install the top washer? Also, should I caulk the surrounding or no? Thanks!

No, I think the washer would interfere. The deck plate should come with a gasket to create a water tight seal. You can always substitute the gasket for stain free plumbers putty if you prefer. No need to caulk the faucet 🤙🏼
