Great video. Purchased the live 7 a week ago and found out by watching your video, I had installed the trans bracket incorrectly so thank you. Like Sir William, I am looking forward to seeing some demonstrations especially settings. Played with the new 7 a couple of times but still not confident on the settings. Thanks again

I have only just installed my 7 inch and have really struggled with the actual set up, it’s not really plug and play. I didn’t get water temp, even depth didn’t come up. I’ve had to play around with settings to get it going. Installation wasn’t too bad. Nice vid though.

Any HDS cable works on any HDS unit I’ve upgraded from HDS 7 to HDS GEN3 and same power cable worked on the new unit I’ve rang up a few places to see if it would harm the unit and got the green light from all of them 👍

Hi Paul, I have a Carbon unit, and it works really well im really interested to know, with the transducer installed at that location do you have a side scan shadow from your engine skeg?

Hey Heath, hope you're well! At that location there is a bit of a shadow/interference on the left hand side of the image. By trimming up the motor ~30-50% that definitely helps clean it up! Which is not a big deal as you're idling around at 3-5km/hr anyway... I have considered mounting it to the bottom of the hull for cleaner images, but it's not an ideal hull shape and trailer setup to do that on.

Nice, I just ordered one 2 days ago from Hunts Marine in Carlton for $3800 and will be doing a self install so thanks for the video, your lucky to have a dad like that. Where did you get the Lowrance jumper from?

gary lutsky if a thief wants it bad enough, nothing will stop him or her. These are a great deterrent and will prevent 99percent of issues

Lowrance has the worst costumer service of any unit on the market they claim stand behind their product till you need service and it's not their please consider this before you buy
