The last clip is on Newton,Sparta road heading towards Newton. The Andover Township cop lit up the guy about a quarter mile from the Newton town line. Driven that road for 55 years.

Red light runners are the reason I always look to my side where there is a red light, even though my light is green. Doing this saved me a huge accident that I most likely would not have survived. A car on the light controlled rotary sped through highway off ramp red light not even bothering to decelerate, if I had not been looking to my left I would’ve been T-Boned by said red light runner at 60 mph. Always look left, right, is straight for over entitled idiot drivers. It may save your life.

I love how the cop at 6:57 stayed in the left lane for quite a while before going into the adjacent lane and pulling over the vehicle, thus allowing the offending driver to subconsciously think he was going to get away scot-free, if but only for a moment.

Cops like to get a read and return on plates before executing the stop to get a general idea of who they're going to deal with. If plates come back to someone with a violent felonious warrant, they benefit from knowing before the interaction has begun for sure

At 2:49 police do rolling road blocks slightly differently; they'll stay in centre lane and, if equipped, use a dot matrix sign "do not pass". When they get the "all clear", they'll move to the shoulder. Looking at this one, I'd have read the situation as "all clear" from what the patrol car was doing, so I think that was more misunderstanding than deliberate effort...

Adding to this, CHP units (at least the ones that patrol the freeways near me) usually stop in the roadway if they wanted to halt traffic. So I was also confused when they pulled off to the side.

8:39 is why in the UK, you cannot use a phone, etc, even when stationary at traffic lights. At a minimum it is a £200 fine and 6 points on your licence

"You can get 6 penalty points and a £200 fine if you hold and use a phone, sat nav, tablet, or any device that can send and receive data while driving or riding a motorcycle. You’ll also lose your licence if you passed your driving test in the last 2 years. You can get 3 penalty points if you do not have a full view of the road and traffic ahead or proper control of the vehicle. You can also be taken to court where you can: be banned from driving or riding get a maximum fine of £1,000 (£2,500 if you’re driving a lorry or bus)" - from Govt website

Pulling over the tailgater is a band-aid, they should have pulled over the guy hogging the left lane. Not doing so is just emboldening them to keep doing it. Those drivers are the real hazards on the road.

I was going to say something similar except i was going to say, they should come up to michigan when you cant see the lane youre driving in(because of snow/ice) and have someone come flying past you doing 65+ in a 55mph zone and you're only going maybe 35-40 because of the conditions.

@@GatGotUrGunGamingthat blizzard a few weeks ago… yup. Drove home in that. A 10 minute drive took 35. Roads hadn’t been plowed. I drove 20 mph. People were flying by me on 131 north in Kalamazoo. Finally got behind a semi at 94 and followed in his tracks. I’ve only lived here 8 years. I’m 76 and just stay home when it snows. Caught unawares when I left my grandsons tennis lesson. Button up. There’s a big one coming this afternoon. Stay safe.

Admittedly there's a part of me that wants to argue with you but honestly you're right. And it's not even restricted to anxiety or panic attacks. When you're aggravated in any way. In a situation like that when I was starting to freak out about being tailgated I got the hell away since I knew the roads and there's a gas station coming up. Just imagine the person got pulled over or brake checked or something. Doesn't matter if they actually did or not. Sometimes doing that and laughing about it makes you feel better already. Admittedly I wish I could piss tailgaters off by going slow but in the States you don't know who's gonna shoot at you on the road lol. But seriously, if you're driving on the road and you're anxious, a panic attack comes out of nowhere, or you're just already riled up about something... Pull over. You aren't doing yourself any favors. Plus, at least I drive worse when I'm riled up. Thankfully (or not so) it's relatively rare and it only ever happens when I'm pissed nowadays. Sorry. Just found an excuse for an anecdote in there somehow.

2:08 I really don't understand the logic in that. The highway looks clean and it looks more like a safety hazard of getting rear ended while that cop does a joy ride on the highway. Pretty sure they already have vehicles specially designed to clean the highway off without obstructing traffic.

Sometimes it is because of an accident way ahead- gets people to gradually slow down versus coming upon an accident scene and slamming on the brakes causing numerous rear end collisions as well. The way he pulls across all three lanes at the end usually means they are shutting the road fully down for a while.

It looks outrageously dangerous to me. The cop is only putting themselves, and traffic behind them, in serious danger. It's incredibly easy to spin out doing that, especially if there really is debris on the road.

@@emma5068 for one, cops have specific training for those things. Just like any other part of their job they are trained for. You could say that cops shouldn't pit maneuver vehicles during a chase because the cop could wreck or cause more damage to the public but at the same time they are trained to perform that in order to stop danger to the public. That training isn't made accessible for everyone to use so it would dangerous for the average citizen but could be done safely by a trained professional

With all due respect to the last clip, just pull over. If you don’t feel safe with the driver behind you, let them past. If you can’t handle cars being close (even tho he should keep a safe distance) then you shouldn’t be on the road. That situation is not enough to take away their license imo. A FIRM warning should be enough.

If it is a one lane road and you are going the speed limit then tailgating is against the law. If you think someone could hit you for following too close that is straight up anxiety inducing. Not sure why you have this "must be on their period" mentality because one bad wreck could ruin lives. You must either drive like a brain damaged seal or have someone else drive you while you backseat drive. 😂

Smh I really think the cammer called the cops on the truck because the cop had him in sight and didn't see him getting close to the cammer!! Smdh Absolutely ridiculous!! @@xo2quilt no, but I see a major difference with countrys that have a strict education to get a driverslicens and those who not. I am glad to be living in a country that has strict regulations. There is so much tragedy in these videos that can be avoided, and I hope it someday will.. I wish you all the best!

@@Onionbaron I've been driving for 53 years and I've been rearended twice. I've never been in an accident that has been deemed my fault. I don't get tickets either. However, these videos do help teach me what to do as well as not to do in response to some fool on the road. Glad you feel safe driving in your country.
