For example some central African states are gray because they just don’t have tourists. Or some states on the middle east are also gray because there is a war conflict so no one wanna attend them.

@awesomealgodoo the UK as a nation did not exist first of all until 1707 then expanded in 1801. In 1529 both England and Scotland had their own monarchies and parliament's and Ireland its own full parliament. The Union of Crowns did not happen until 1603 when King James VI of Scotland ascended to the English throne to become King James I of England and Great Britain. However, Scotland would still have its own full parliament until 1707 when the Scottish Parliament dissolved itself and joined with the parliament in London. In 1801 the British and Irish parliament's united. So, in 1529 it should be the St George's Cross, which is one part of the Union (British) flag - the other two parts being the St Andrew's Cross, Scotland and the St Patrick's Cross, historical Ireland.

I found the People in China being really nice to me. I don’t speak any Mandarin but everyone helped as best as they could. For example when I couldn’t get a ticket in the subway because I couldn’t read the instruction on the ticket kiosk. Or when I joined a Chinese tourist group. I was the only European and they took me in as I was part of their group. I couldn’t speak any word to them but we got along really great sharing lunch and laughs. :) and the cab drivers don’t screw you over as in many other countries.

It is, a country is a country if other countries recognize that country as a country, that's why nor Sealand nor Taiwan are countries, sorry it seems so obvious to say that Taiwan isn't China because they're literally governed differently but until the UN says otherwise, it's true nonetheless

@Azknowledgethirsty
@Azknowledgethirsty 5 жыл бұрын
@@hanzotien79 I already did, but only 19 out of 193 countries recognize Taiwan, that's barely a 20% What I say is that logic is not important in deciding a country but because countries are a human invention only consensus matters and until >50% of countries recognize Taiwan, it won't be a country That's it, it's the single only thing they need to be a country, >50% recognition, so no, nowadays its definitely not a country although it has all the reasons to be one
@Azknowledgethirsty
@Azknowledgethirsty 5 жыл бұрын

@@Azknowledgethirsty I didn't mean that way of research. But do you know why other country do not recognize? if it simply metter of number that research was very very superficial. Ok, that because China, they use his influnce to let another country do not recognize Taiwan as country. I do know where you are from, but if one day one of that powerful country use his influence and say that the country you below is not anymore a country, I don't know if you will be confortable saying what you wrote above.
